Moon Rabbit is a highly-regarded Vietnamese restaurant situated in the heart of Washington D.C., drawing inspiration from the virtuous rabbit depicted in the Buddhist Jataka tale. Led by acclaimed Chef Kevin Tien, the restaurant embodies an innovative approach to Vietnamese cuisine, showcasing a menu that is both unique and complex.     One of the most creative and best meals I’ve had in DC! The dessert lived up to the hype. How this place didn’t get a Michelin star is beyond me. Ridiculous cocktail menu so I’m glad they were recognized for that at least.

    It was absolutely amazing experience. Food was on par with the service and the cocktails. Thank you chefs and FOH for a great time. Can't wait to come back soon.

    We entered another world from the moment we were seated. The odd yet perfect combinations of flavors and ingredients created dishes that provided an explosion of senses simultaneously. The cocktails are inventive and creative, and the service, outstanding. The noise level is quiet but vibrant, and allows conversing with ease. We can't say enough positive things about Moon Rabbit other than if you are desiring something different yet delicious, visit Moon Rabbit!

    Our third time at Moon Rabbit and each time has been great. The food is creative and delicious, and they can accommodate my wife’s lactose intolerance without batting an eye.

    The five of us had the prefix dinner and it was exquisite from the first appetizer to the last of the five desserts and everything in between was wonderful. Make sure to have the car lamb which was a truly amazing dish as was everything else. Of the five of us three had been here once before and two were newbies, and all of us are looking forward to our next visit. Our friends who live in the area are probably going to get their Christmas dinner as a takeout from here as they were so impressed with the restaurant. if you have never had Vietnamese food or have been hesitant to try it, do you give it a try, but you may not be able to go back to any of the lesser Vietnamese you may have had elsewhere. This is the absolute pinnacle and we love it

    One of the best Vietnamese food around. The team at Moon Rabbit really put together an incredible menu. The seaweed salad is a must.

    Chef Kevin and team never disappoint. I’ve dined at Moon Rabbit 3 times now and each time I go I’m reminded why I love the restaurant. The staff is warm, friendly and insanely helpful (I want to be friends with them all!). The food is the perfect mix of flavor and presentation, but most importantly brings the warmth and love of home cooking. Thank you for always going the extra mile for your patrons and I can’t wait to return!
