El restaurante Momed (abreviación de mediterráneo moderno) le da la bienvenida. Momed es al mismo tiempo un restaurante, tienda gourmet, bar espresso y mercado, y adopta los sabores de los muchos países que conforman la región mediterránea oriental con un dinámico toque moderno. El objetivo del Momed es utilizar los mejores ingredientes disponibles para presentar lo mejor de la cocina mediterránea. El establecimiento se caracteriza por su pasión por la comida, el servicio personalizado y una estética moderna y limpia, esto se combina con siglos de tradición para brindarle un gran sabor en el desayuno, el almuerzo o la cena. La cocina mediterránea oriental abarca desde la región del Levante, de Atenas a Marrakech pasando por Estambul y Jerusalén, y es sinónimo de una dieta saludable por lo que todos los ingredientes se producen localmente, además de ser orgánicos y de temporada en la medida de lo posible. One of the best dinners my husband and I have had, and since we make the most of our kid free date nights and visit places all over LA, we’ve tried a lot! The food was incredible, the service impeccable, and the ambience a good balance of hip, romantic, and still family friendly. Such a unique spot and I will be dreaming of the pita with whipped feta and chicken wings for days!

We have gone to Momed many times and enjoyed it. But the food has become mediocre, while the prices have continued to rise and the service has declined. The restaurant, despite being outside, was too loud. Last night, it was hard to have a conversation for our table of 4. The restaurant wasn't full, but the maitre d' took our drink order saying the servers were busy, then when no server arrived to take our dinner order, he returned to take our order. I asked the man bringing our food for more pita, which was never delivered. No one ever came to refill the water or check on us. Then the maitre d' returned to ask us about dessert and give us the bill. We won't be returning.

Hi Hilary, I am very sorry to hear of your experience with us last Sunday. Even though respectfully I would like to disagree with you about our food, it has never been better, I would like to apologies for the poor service you received on that day. Unbeknownst to us one of our neighbourhood businesses had an event and we ended up with an unexpected number of walk in guests that caused our serving staff the get overwhelmed. If you have been with us before you know that we are committed to providing an outstanding dinning experience to our guests, in this instance based on events outside of our control we dropped the ball with your table and again I am sorry you had to experience that. I regards to prices unfortunately that is not unique to us and is a reflection of our times.

The food, ambiance and service was outstanding. Everything we ordered was amazing. The only item on the menu which was good but I think could have been great was the chicken if it wasn’t so salty.

Outstanding. Food was so well prepared. Beautiful presentation. Amazing quality. Loved seeing the chef(s) open kitchen. The vibe is so relaxed and loved their attention to detail. Chef Vartan is the best!

This place really fell off :( came here with a group of 8 people for my sisters birthday brunch. First of all, they charge for every little single thing. Didn’t even offer a free coffee refill? I’ve never been anywhere that charges extra for that, especially when you go for brunch. An extra charge for this and that. Fine, wonderful. This place used to be so much better. I hosted my mom’s 60th here for brunch and the food was delicious. Not sure what happened today but was very disappointed. Their shakshuka was inedible and so spicy. How is this an egg dish? It was 99% peppers and tomatoes. They also did not have some items available on the menu which was really weird. We were one of the first customers. Unfortunately will not go back for brunch ever again.

The Momed space is very inviting, open, stylish, and energetic but not deafening. The service is hit and miss - super attentive upon arrival, great at the bar, but spotty at the table. The food is amazing, especially the vegetable dishes - spicy, rich carrots that could easily fool someone into thinking they were a meat dish, stand-out, delicious Brussels Sprouts in a town where this dish has gotten pedestrian, a delicious whipped feta with tomatoes and honey. The meat dishes were also fantastic - the shish offerings are each enough for two to share, so glad we got one of each for four of us. We finished with the duck special which was perfectly executed, tantalizingly spiced, and more than enough for four. The restaurant is dog-friendly and last night it was Frenchie-friendly in particular. Dog lovers will be thrilled, those who are not amused by dogs barking for food maybe not so much.
