Dipped in the Japanese arts and architecture, the Mizu Izakaya and Sushi restaurant offers an authentic experience of Japanese culture. The restaurant offers contemporary Japanese dining and a comfortable, young and hip atmosphere. The food is served hot and its assortment of dishes are popular among the locals and are nicely complimented by innovative drinks.

Mizu Izakaya and Sushi restaurant, despite being a Sushi place, has a diverse menu and it offers a variety of Japanese dishes. Some of the dishes include King Mushroom Carpaccio, Grilled Whole Squid, Grilled Lamb Chop and Brussels Sprouts. The food was great as always! However, our service was extremely poor. We were a group of 4 girls and we are all servers at a fine dining restaurant so this is a difficult review to leave as we understand the business, how things work and are much more patient than the regular diner. That said, it was this disappointing that I felt the need to share. We were seated and no one greeted us or gave us water for 10 minutes. Once the server did come by, she was very aloof. It was clear she was entirely too busy to be taking our table. We informed her we were going to an event and needed to leave by 815. But she disappeared for a very long time after that and so we had to order everything all at once to make sure it all came out on time. She was really no where to be found most of the dinner, there no engagement from her or personality and then she quickly dropped the check at 8pm with no offer for dessert or a final round of drinks before we had to leave. It was just an all around disappointment. We are servers so we understand more than most but My girlfriends had never been there before and were very excited to try it. They left with compliments to the food but disappointed by the rest of the experience. :-/

Overall, pretty good! The happy hour Hamachi Jalapeño Sashimi was by far the best dish we had all night. The sushi rice was a bit mushy, but the flavors of the rolls were great. Service was good too and the restaurant has such a cool design.

Enjoyed the chu toro, karaage, and monster roll. Service efficient and competent, not friendly. Ambiance is lively and noise is a bit much but better on the patio.
