Del equipo editorial de OpenTable: Venezuelan chefs Tatiana Mora and Miguel Guerra earned a MICHELIN Star for their exemplary plant-based menus that you can try in a 14-course tasting or four- and six-course prix-fixes (and an a la carte at the bar). Think creative dishes like watermelon crudo and an arepa sampler with sauces like creamy guasacaca alongside colorful cocktails and wines from South America. Savor it all in an industrial-chic space surrounded by glass windows and with flower garlands draped over the bar. It’s all led to rave reviews, including by The Washington Post food critic Tom Sietsema.

We had an incredible experience at MITA. It’s definitely a special occasion place. As a long time vegan, it was nice to be able to have the same meal as my meat eating family members. Presentation, service, decor…incredible. The final course, dessert was not great but the rest of the food was a total hit.

One of the best vegetarian/vegan restaurants I have been too. I can see why they won a Michelin Star. Absolutely deserving.

The service and cocktails were great. The soup was definitely the best dish. The rest of the dishes were less impressive and left a fried after taste. Including tip and one cocktail per person, we paid $300 for two. We feel that for that amount, we could have more value, but that is a very personal opinion. We applaud the owner’s/chef’s creativity.

Great experience! Went for a late date and it was wonderful for my girlfriend who has trouble finding great vegan spots. We both loved it.

My wife and I had an amazing experience at Mita for Valentine's Day! If you're looking for creative plant-based Latin American dishes, then this is the place for you. A bit pricey, but it's worth it.

If spending more than $300/person, a diner should expect every dish to SING. Some of the courses here were excellent (the arepas and fava bean soup stood out as showing real genius). The Caribina on the other hand was dense and single note. Still, that was better than the first course (a stuffed flauta that was cold and …chewy) and the dessert, a citrus gratin that might have been a passable palate cleanser but as a closing course was just…bad. Seriously, at half the price I’d rate this as merely somewhat disappointing. At this cost it just felt a bit abusive.
