This was my first time going to milpa. And it was absolutely an amazing experience from the cocktails, Appies, dinner and dessert. We booked there for one of my best friends 30th bday. It was amazing! I would 100% go back with my husband and 10 yr old daughter! Delicious!

The ceviche was very good. Everything else we had was disappointing, including the cocktails. The most disappointing dish was the rice with seafood. Seafood was extremely overcooked and rubbery.

Me and my wife went for a Mexican as she likes Mexican Food. We had the starters Tres Marias which consisted of 3 dips and the dips were fresh and tasted really nice; these were served with tortilla chips which were cooked fresh on site. For the mains, we had the Papas Bravas (nice soft roast type potatoes), and Machete Mushroom Al Ajillo along with Fish Tacos. Everything was spot on and was enough for 2 to 3 people to share. The staff were extremely friendly and attentative and the atmosphere was vibrant with Mexican style music playing in the background. The restaurant felt clean, crisp and extremely cosy. Would definitely recommend as it is extremely difficult to fnd a Mexican restaurant of good quality in Calgary.

Some dishes were very good like the ceviche and beef empanadas. The fish tacos were very plain, not tasty and very pricey, $18 for 2 small tacos. We were 2 so had to sit in the galley with tables of 2, no atmosphere and away from main restaurant, we asked to be in the main section but we were denied even though we had a reservation. Service was excellent.

The place is super cute, the food was good and margaritas were delicious. Unfortunately the service was subpar. I had t get the servers attention several times to order another drink.

We’ve been coming here since it opened and sadly the service seems to decline each time :( we keep coming back though because the food is ALWAYS amazing.

The restaurant may have been having a bad night because it did not live up to hype or reviews. Food was lack lustre and one of our food dishes was inedible. Service was overall poor, however the bartender was lovely and drinks were decent.
