I requested, in advance, a quiet corner table away from large groups and loudspeakers because I have severe hearing loss. This was ignored. We were placed next to two tables comprising one group of about 20 people who repeatedly cheered loudly and sang, making conversation virtually impossible. This ruined the meal for me, and made it difficult for my companions. The waitresses were apologetic and attentive, but powerless, except for turning down the thudding music a little. The two-course Christmas dinner was superb, except for my leek main course, which was underseasoned and soggy. It’s ironic that this happened as a blind person was being crowned winner of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’: it shows how far, despite the Equality Act 2010, there remains to go in terms of making reasonable adjustments for people with disabilities.

Our food was seriously tasty, great textures and flavours! The carrot, apple and ginger juice was lovely, nice and balanced. We left very pleasantly full.

Mildred's is our go to restaurant if we are in the King's Cross area. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the food is always delicious.

My first visit and I’ll be back very soon. Wonderful friendly staff, fantastic food and selection of drinks. A real buzz in the place, loved it.

It was very loud with tasteless music. The staff was very slow and made us late for a classical concert, which meant we had to wait for the interval to get in because it took staff ages to collect payment even though we had repeatedly asked. They then split the bill in half when we wanted to pay for what we had consumed, which totally threw them and there were only two of us. I had wanted to invite my vegetarian friend to this restaurant that from the Soho original days used to be good but it's gone downhill entirely. To pay over 18 pounds for rice and a few vegetables with weird sides some of which were uneatable, was an insult to any vegetarian's purse and palate. I won't come back!
