Chef Dunlap was previously the Executive Sous Chef at The Inn at Little Washington and the Corporate Executive Chef of Quirk Hotels (Quirk Hotel RVA & Quirk Hotel CVille). He was named as 1 of the 32 Restaurant Stars on the Rise in 2020 by FSRMagazine, Rising Star Chef of the Year by Two Roads Hospitality Worldwide, and has won Best Dishes at Broad Appetit 4 years in a row.

Party of 5. Each chose a different dish. The meats were so tender and juicy. The sauces were delicious and complimented each dish. Service was great! We were served quickl. Surprisingly quick! We will be back.

This is our go-to spot for fine dining. The food is always delicious: excellent quality ingredients perfect yet simply combined.

Cold by front window. Menu was limited from what was on internet. Fork soiled on setting. Disappointing.

Amazing food and service!! The new winter menu was fantastic. The server was just the right amount of attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. It was our second visit for a special dinner, and we will definitely be back!

We start with the Pork and shrimp in roasted pork broth and it was excellent. Nice broth with the bread also. We then had the filet and had to be the absolute 💯 best we have every had. Got it medium, but if I had know how flavorful it was I would have ordered medium rare. Such a great steak and we are still having about it to our family and friends. So good. For desert I had the chocolate ganache, and again it was wonderful 😋. We will definitely be back. Cons were the parking, in that it the lot was full and had to wait for a spot to open. And the noise in the resturant was very loud. Food wise. I cannot fully describe how excellent it was. If you have not been, you are definitely missing a dinner you will definitely enjoy. We did for our 41st wedding anniversary.

Have been to MCK many times before, including for wine pairings. This time and last (about 2 months ago) things were not as excellent as previously. Soup delicious, but tepid. A huge pork chop - nicely done - but practically devoid of sides. Cheddar ice cream - orange tint for sure, but not at all cheddary. Although the apple crisp was terrific on its own, we wanted that cheddar flavor to set it off. Other outstanding items - pork belly, pappardelle, filet mignon. So in sum, still very good, and the drinks were lovely, but a few disappointments, which is unusual twice in a row.

Unique and well prepared food, reasonably priced for what you get. The basil cake for dessert was a big surprise I can’t get elsewhere.
