The food was good. The service was not. My server forgot the salsa I requested and rarely came by to check on me. My dinner plates were picked up after I ate but then waited 14 minutes and had to flag her down for a dessert menu. It wasn’t too busy. It’s a shame because I really liked the one in Dallas but this one seems to have staffing issues to iron out. The second floor hostess was really nice. She must have known because after she originally seated me she came by several minutes later and asked if anyone came by yet.

The store is beautiful and our waiter was great. They seated us upstairs next to the stairwell the waiters constantly use. I’d suggest to never use that table unless you are absolutely full. We quickly moved tables. The noise level was loud and our food was lukewarm. It’s hard to bring it upstairs without getting cold, I guess. I’d give it a 6.

Bar staff seemed overwhelmed with drink orders. It took 20 minutes to get 4 drinks. The margarita flight looked pretty, but they were not good; especially the one with watermelon. The fruit tasted old. The only other drink I tried that was good was the Como La Flor. As far as food, the arepas and queso from the appetizer were good. I thought the Tortilla Soup was pretty amazing. The waiter told me it's made to order, so I think that makes a difference. My husband ordered tacos that came with rice and beans and he mentioned that the beans tasted old, but the tacos were decent. We came for brunch, but not sure I would come back again.

The food was excellent. The customer service was also excellent. The vibe, and experience at this restaurant was perfect.

Had the Elote Shrimp Tacos for my entree and they were fantastic. And of course the chocolate cake.(sweet tooth was completely satisfied!!) Can’t wait to come back. Interior was beautiful and interesting iron work throughout the restaurant.

I would have given it 5 stars only for the very loud music. When I asked the waiter about turning it down a little he said he would ask but he didn’t think the manager would. His own personal comment was at night it was so loud he had a hard time hearing people order their food. The food was great, some of the best arepas that I ever had. The seafood paella was delicious and plenty for two people. Great margaritas and their happy hour menu is a great deal. I have no doubt we will return again and see if the music is at a better tempo so you can hear and talk more comfortably.
