El restaurante Metropole ofrece una versión contemporánea de las técnicas de cocina con horno de leña del Viejo Mundo. El menú del restaurante, dirigido por el Chef Ejecutivo Jared Bennett, se enfoca en la creación de platillos cocinados en un horno de leña hecho a la medida. Killed it. My husband and I came in to play gourmand for my birthday and Metropole met/exceeded our expectations in every way. Would recommend! The STAFF: were amazing. Warm, professional, knew the menu inside and out and really added the personal touches that make a restaurant meal an Experience. The FOOD: nothing but bangers from start to finish. I have to rave here. The marrow butter served with the bread was silky and fluffy to a degree I have never before encountered. The steak tartare, salmon & crispy rice, and oyster starters were all excellent, but…. The OCTOPUS. My god. If you like octopus you must not skip this rendition. Hands down the most tender I’ve ever had it, and glorious with the nduja topping. The Caesar salad is lovely. bright and fresh, and the menu descriptor of “lots of cheese” is very accurate. My husband ordered the featured entree, an 8oz duck breast with cauliflower purée and a cranberry compote, and I had the market fish entree off the menu (black cod). Both of our proteins were beautifully tender and all the components of the dishes worked extremely well together. The bright and offbeat take on beurre blanc really set off the black cod, and despite being stuffed almost beyond capacity, I couldn’t help but finish the fish. We had to take our cabbage, carrots, and amazing birthday dessert to go, because our mouths were bigger than our stomachs, but they all traveled well and we devoured them at our hotel later in the night. The DRINKS: wonderful! I rib my husband constantly for his affinity for Malört, but this place had a cocktail that made me rethink that mindset. The Aries Rising was truly a fresh take on an Aperol Spritz and I loved it. Ask about the secret menu!

We had a fantastic experience. Service was “en pointe”… attentive, timely, cordial and unobtrusive. We had the octopus appetizer and the black codfish as the main course. Both dishes were perfectly balanced and delectable. A great experience.

Ambience and vibe was a bit sterile. The food was marginal but very overpriced. The wait staff was mediocre and not very friendly and kept us waiting forever for dessert when the entire restaurant was empty. The scallops and beets were the only exceptional dishes but again overpriced. The complimentary ice cream cookie for a birthday celebration was unusually tiny like the size of an Oreo cookie. Very embarrassing. Unfortunately, we all agreed that the dining experience was underwhelming and will probably not be returning.

Fantastic service. Food was amazing. I had the baby kale salad and scallops, he had the burger. We shared the panna cotta for dessert - so yummy. Overall a wonderful experience.
