Decided to dine here last minute with friends. Reservations were easy to get and the food was good. Upscale Mexican that doesn’t break the bank.

The waitress was knowledgeable and attentive. The menu has an extensive offering of shareable plates and individual plates. The decor is inviting.

Amazing service. Marlena is kind and has a great and welcoming attitude. The food is good but the service is even better which will make us loyal customers to Mesero moving forward.

The cocktails were solid, very visually appealing. Entrees were underwhelming. My pork should have been tender/falling apart, but it needed a steak knife. The redfish was a bit fishy. Too many other great places to try in Nashville, won't return. Additionally ordered two items to take home for family members, shorted one entree. Check your bags, folks. Wished I would have.

We had a wonderful time at Mesero. Glad Nashville has this higher end choice for Mexican fare. For a newly opened restaurant, it’s apparent the mgmt has food quality and service under control.

The service was timid and not proactive. Our server dropped a bowl of beans, which went all over the pants and shoes of two guests. Outside of her picking up the dish from the floor, no attention was paid to helping wipe off everything else. We had to ask for more napkins, which were brought but just placed on the table. A more proactive response would've been to provide a towel and to have the manager stop by to check on the guests. Then the food on two of the dishes was completely cold and had to be remade. Overall, the food was good, especially the blacken salmon tacos, but these two issues lessened the overall experience. I believe I heard they just opened up a few weeks ago so maybe service and timing with food will improve as they gain additional experience.
