El chef y propietario Peter Merriman ha trasplantado su versión de la gastronomía regional de Hawái a esta hermosa ubicación junto al océano en la localidad de Kapalua. Utiliza solo los productos más frescos, de los cuales como mínimo el 90% se producen o capturan en la zona, usando únicamente métodos sostenibles. Peter siempre ha estado a la vanguardia en el concepto "de la granja a la mesa". Toda la comida se prepara resaltando los sabores naturales de los alimentos. Cuenta con un personal muy amable que garantiza una experiencia culinaria increíble. Su conocimiento de los alimentos es uno de los mejores del sector. Todo esto se encuentra en el lugar más hermoso de la localidad, justo en el agua, donde se pueden contemplar los atardeceres más increíbles cada noche desde el bar de vinos situado frente al océano. Join us for Valentine's Day dinner at Merriman's Maui! We are offering a 3 course prix fixe menu at $150 per person. All of our tables offer stunning ocean views. Tables will be seated from front to back, so we recommend booking our 4pm seating if your table location is very important to you. Location requests cannot be guaranteed. We will hold a table for you for 15 minutes past the reservation time. We ask that you limit your experience with us to 2 hours as a courtesy to the people waiting to be seated. If your plans should change, please let us know as soon as possible. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your reservation will incur a $150 no show fee.

Fun ambience Great service Fixed price menu for NYE which was unfortunate as we were not told that until 12/30. Food was still good, but would have been nice to know before the day before.

The entire NYE dinner with friends was fabulous. We have been to Merriman’s before, and this night was marvelous. Brandi our server was excellent. She was attentive, gave good recommendations, personable. Music was a nice NYE touch. Definitely all tourists should go to Merriman’s Kapalua, or at least their new ULU restaurant in Kaanapali (in the Westin hotel beach front.)

Very expensive New Years Eve PreFixe Menu. Paid almost $1000 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Food and ambiance was good but not exceptional. The service was very rushed for a fine dining experience with servers turning tables as fast as possible. 5 course meal seated, served and check to depart within 1 hour!

Absolutely our favorite restaurant on Maui. From the staff, including the hilarious GM Brendan O’Leary, to the amazing flavors coming from the kitchen, to the views. An 11 out of 10 every time we go.

We arrived to our reservation about 15 minutes early and we were sat almost immediately which was nice. Once we sat down and opened our menus, we saw happy anniversary written at the top and we thought it was super thoughtful! Our waiter Dennis was so nice and attentive. The food was AMAZING. We both agreed it was one of the best meal we’ve ever had. We ended the night with the bread pudding and a beautiful dessert for your anniversary. They were both delicious but we REALLY enjoyed the bread pudding! We were super happy and definitely was a great way to celebrate our anniversary. Definitely will be returning!

Gorgeous restaurant. Atmosphere is amazing with live music. Everything outside of that is meh. Walk in and we have a reservation but our table won’t be ready for “10-15 minutes.” No biggie, we’ll just go to the bar and grab a drink. Awkward and confusing conversation with the bartender ensues. “Uhhh sir do you have a reservation for a bar seat?” Me: “No, we have a table reserved and I wanted to grab a drink while we wait to be seated.” Another awkward beat and the bartender responds, “There’s a Maui law that we can’t serve you unless you are seated at the bar.” Me: “Then I guess our hotel bar breaks Maui law every day? I’ve traveled all around the world and never heard of anything like this…” Bartender: “Sorry, I can’t serve you sir.” Bad start. We finally get to our seats and it’s gorgeous and our server is super kind and awesome. Prices are kinda steep, but we knew that going in. We ordered the smoked taro hummus with crudite to start. It tasted just like my wife’s hummus at home. Not bad, but cmon guys. My two daughters each ordered the kids pasta and I’ve never seen smaller, more skimpy portions. I’d have been embarrassed to serve this to anyone anywhere, especially to growing children. My wife got the fresh catch special and said it was bland and average. I tasted it and she was correct. It was a special recommended by the chef and our server. I got the filet mignon special and while the steak was cooked to a proper medium rare and the presentation was solid, it tasted like it was never seasoned at all. I’m not a heavy salt guy, but this was completely bland. Of course there was zero salt/pepper on the table, so I had to request it from our server. To her credit, she brought back pink Hawaiian salt and fresh cracked pepper. But again, it shouldn’t have needed that. With tip, two children and two adults paid approximately $400 for a very average meal. I can’t recommend this place to anyone. Do better Merrimans.
