Del equipo editorial de OpenTable: El LA Times una vez llamó a Peter Merriman «la Alice Waters aloha» debido a su célebre reputación de promover los ingredientes locales. En Merriman's, que abrió por primera vez en la Isla Grande en 1988, esto se traduce en una puesta al día de clásicos hawaianos como el mahi mahi con costra de macadamia y el falafel de taro. Waiter was attentive. Bag o biscuits is always a must. Beet salad was nothing but perfection as well as the Cobb. Smash burger was also amazing but we were shorted in fries…let our server know and he easily took care of the situation. Always a great visit.

Our waiter was personable and helpful, food was delicious, however steak frites may have been a tad overcooked for medium rare. Other items…fish tacos, fish and shrimp and desserts were 5 stars! **One thing I recommend is changing out some of your black and white dining chairs. The woven seats as well as some areas where you rest your arms are coming apart and snagged my blouse. Hostess at the front was very personable and appreciated her taking our picture outdoors and holding the door open for our seniors. We love Merrimans, and will definitely be back again.

Excellent food, service, and experience overall! Elaine was so welcoming and kind to us and compliments to the chefs for a delicious meal…from the appetizers to dessert!

Came here with a group of 7 after a memorial service. Perfect place to bring some people I didn’t know well. Everyone enjoyed their meal and staff were very accommodating. Always enjoy the food here and of course the Mai Tais. .

We were so happy to see a more expanded menu than last time we were there. After Covid Merrimans seemed to be struggling, but now it’s back better than ever!!! The only area that remains slim and very needy is the beer selections!!!! My husband almost won’t go because of limited choices. They offer no draft beers, no lagers or pilsners!
