Once the Metropolitan News Agency on Cypress, MERCURI 109 with Chef Joe Mercuri is a bar-à-manger seating 23 in Montreal’s financial district. Our mission is to provide an experience based on pleasure and satisfaction; a fine-dining intimate eatery where a sense of exclusivity is felt the minute you take your seat at the granite bar, or at one of our two hand-made wooden tables.

Behind the bar & in front of you to observe, a repertory of ingredients is prepared with French-technique, as creations give ode to Chef’s Italian roots and his appeal to local Asian flavors.

Passion and curiosity (traits synonymous to Mercuri’s magnetic personality), come to life through prance and charm in a kitchen reflecting the cultural mosaic our attractive Montréal is famous for.

Whether it’s the bread dunk in the spicy honeycomb & olive oil or the other refined ingredients, the MERCURI 109 food-bar promises to satisfy each client both mouth and experience-wise!

The main entrance of the restaurent brings a lot of cold draft in when someone gets in or out. The satelite radio is a major downer of ambiance, especially with the commercials between songs. Food is amazing, service was OK but we felt like we were bothering or that we came in too late. Might be just me, but I had a bad vibe.

This is more than just a meal out. It as an incredible experience. Chef Mercuri is not only talented but also a warm, welcoming host. Amanda and the team catered to every request. A lovely place to meet with family or friends and enjoy unforgettable food and amazing atmosphere.

Was surprised so few tables & mostly Bar seating . Best to go just 2 people , unless u r guranteed a table ! Food very good , shareable . We will return

What an AMAZING night! The food is beyond fantastic and the service is incredible. The staff is welcoming and warm, whilst being professional through and through. But the piece de resistance is the manager! Her interpersonal approach with the clients is unmatched . She absolutely made our experience an unforgettable one. 🤍

What a wonderful experience we had at your restaurant. The food is top notch, the service fantastic (Amanda, you rock), and the atmosphere is chique and warm. I recommend getting a seat in front of the kitchen and watching them work! It's mesmerizing! We were there on Nov 15 and had a fantastic time. The goat cheese ravioli was so rich in flavor. The Tuna Sashimi was amazing. The honeydew sauce that went with it was a pairing that I have never had and I'm so glad I chose it. The Duck Margaret and Braised short ribs were so tender. The bread pudding and that dollop of chocolate deliciousness on it was to die for. The Drinks were fantastic. Definitely getting another f-in bon Negroni next time I come. Thanks for a great night ❤️

My husband and I had the best experience at Mercury 109. From the service to the food, everything was exceptional!! One of the best meals in Montreal! We'll definitely be back for more.
