Mercato BYOB es un restaurante italiano festivo y moderno donde los comensales pueden traer sus propias botellas. Went during Restaurant Week, excellent choices. People sitting next to us were incredibly noisy, otherwise perfect experience. Servers were attentive and beyond kind, helping me with my walker.

The Host was Phenomenal. Waitress no personality Tables too close to front door, uncomfortable and cold. No half and half for evening coffee, never heard of that. No Sparkling Water, unacceptable.

I know it was Restaurant week so pretty busy when we went in so the server was overwhelmed. But once it started to quiet down, they still was just no interaction besides taking our order and dropping the check. There were no questions like how is everything? Have you been here before? thank you for coming etc. it was just a completely transactional experience with mediocre food. Chicken Parm was overcooked and dry and the sauce was sweet. The veal picante had no seasoning and veal was tough, and the pappardelle and short rib sauce was so thin and tasteless. sorry to say we will not be back.

We often avoid Restaurant Week, but Mercato's menu looked good...and it was. Nice sized portions. Good variety of courses to choose from. Our table had the beet salad, whipped ricotta, and Caesar. For the entree, chicken parm (good sized piece), fresh fish, and the linguini with clams. For dessert, tried the lemon sorbet, cannoli, and the tiramisu. All very good. Add in BYOB, and it made for an enjoyable dinner with friends in Center City. Open Table had sent an email earlier in the day telling us it was the 21st anniversary of our first reservation (El Vez)...over 600 reservations and 500 reviews later...

Great as usual. Waitstaff and host also delightful as usual. Tables very close but somehow it works given everyone is so friendly. One of my favorite places to eat in the city. Wish I could give them 10 stars.
