Mele e Pere es un restaurante italiano diferente ubicado en el Soho de Londres y dirigido por Peter Hughes y Andrea Mantovani del galardonado Wild Honey. Desde el momento en que el comensal llega y observa las manzanas y peras en el cristal de Murano de la ventana de Mele e Pere, sabe que encontrará algo especial, como el interior del sótano, que es completamente diferente a cualquier restaurante italiano que haya visitado antes, iluminado con lámparas de mesa y decorado con audaces obras de arte abstracto. El menú está compuesto por un puñado de platillos bien seleccionados de toda Italia, como el pescado a la veneciana (con hierbabuena y bañado en una salsa de vino blanco), camarones sicilianos, abundantes opciones de carne roja y estómago desde Roma y el norte. Los postres son también típicos italianos y vale la pena dejar un espacio para disfrutarlos, incluyendo el helado casero que se ha ganado excelentes críticas hasta de los conocedores culinarios más exigentes. Great food, great value for money and excellent service. We went after the matinée at the Gielgud Theatre and had a superb meal. Friendly and lovely atmosphere.. would definitely return. Highly recommend.

Very lovely restaurant in soho. The staff were really attentive - we had to ask for a table upstairs as one of our party has mobility issues and there is quite a long staircase to the seating area downstairs but they quickly made space for us and were very friendly throughout our visit. Prices were very reasonable and the food was tasty - I had Buratta, then pizza (delicious crust) followed by Affogato but the Tiramisu also looked very good! Would definitely eat here again, our reservation was 5pm for a play at 7 and we had plenty of time.

The tiramisu was truly the best we’ve ever had and the pasta and pizza was also amazing!!

Compared to other Italians I've been to, this experience was OK. The spaghetti carbonara arrived too quickly to be freshly made, and there was a lot of sauce with a raw egg yolk on top. The panchetta was thickly cut, and there was too much of it. Could be better with some tweaks.

We had such a good experience discovering this restaurant a few weeks ago so brought our friends last Friday. We had drinks at the bar before dinner and it was relaxing, the bartenders were attentive and friendly. Our friends enjoyed dinner but didn't like the wine. I actually ordered the same dishes as last time, the bruschetta with red pepper was great but the butternut squash in the Fregola was definitely undercooked, an oversight perhaps Will have another go again in a few weeks!
