Legendary Medium Rare offers a unique, $28.95prix fixe dinning experience of artisan bread; a mixed green salad; prime, dry-aged steak; and hand-cut fries (Vegetarian option always available) in a relaxed, fun, environment. Please allow us 15 minutes to seat you after your full party has arrived and after checkin at our host stand. As we do only one thing, we do our best to make the food and experience exceptional and also a good value. We also serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday's with a great prix fixe including French Toast, Steak and Eggs, Eggs Benedict and bottomless Bloody Marys, Mimosas and Screwdrivers. WALK INS and CALL AHEAD seating are always welcomed.

We had a party of 7, and the service was attentive, and the food delicious. 6 people had steaks, and 1 had the vegetarian option (portobello mushroom). The mushroom portions were a bit small compared to the steak, but that is the only area for improvement to mention. The steak, frites, salad, bread and wine were exceptional. We will definitely go back, to include for large party dinners. Thank you Medium Rare Bethesda!

Truly happy to rate and review this restaurant, definitely deserves a 5 star rating h-boy and I were lovely welcomed and seated right away by a young doll. Food was great, cocktails were fye 🔥 Service was excellent.

Came here with a friend who is visiting the area, let’s start with the front desk: hostess was kindhearted to us we started chatting they looked a liltle busy but she made us feel welcomed she is really kind and very accommodating, the ambiance was nice, music loud enough. Our server took good care of us and he timed our food, as soon as we were done with our salad, we saw our delicious steak and fries approaching our table. We had fun, the rainy-weather was perfect to enjoy this place even more. Will be back.

We were seated at 7:17 for a 7:00 reservation, and only after causing a fuss as walk-ins appeared to be getting seated. There was supposedly an “event”, so half of the tables were closed off, but were unoccupied—this is fine, except that either they took reservations for a full restaurant, or were just ignoring them entirely. The food was fine if not rushed, and our waitress was lovely. Somebody clearly made a bad decision regarding seating at some point, though.

I recently visited Medium Rare in Bethesda, MD, and was thoroughly impressed. The restaurant offers a straightforward menu that lets the quality of the food shine. The ambiance was pleasant, and every part of the meal was fantastic. Having tried many entrecôte-style restaurants in both NYC and France, I can confidently say that Medium Rare lives up to its inspiration—and then some. A standout was our server, Cameron, who managed our table and others seamlessly. It’s refreshing to see a restaurant that places such importance on hiring exceptional staff. Medium Rare is officially on our regular go-to list!

Steak was good, fries just ok, sauce was mediocre and too salty. Service was great, noise level was too high. We will skip this restaurant in the future.
