Located in Edgefield's main lodge, the Black Rabbit is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Poor service, wait was 1hr long for food!!!food was ok but cold, can’t believe we paid over 120. For bad service and food.

Another wonderful dining experience. Ive had the wild boar quite a few times now and it never disappoints. Highly recommend.

The wait staff was excellent. The food was unique, appetizing, tasteful, and well presented. The deserts were wonderful. We have returned many times when meeting up with friends as we can always count on a great experience

Don’t come if you’re in a hurry. Long wait to get seated, long waits to give order etc. it’s a nice place to have a long leisurely meal. Bread/butter basket was bland. Beet salad was really good. Rib eye just average. Good size portions. Drinks were great. Would have loved dessert but after being there almost 2 hours decided not too. Wait staff was professional but overworked.

I love McMenamins, always have, every location. But, this night which was NYE the food was not great especially my friend’s prime rib that was $49. She couldn’t even cut through it. The ambiance was great at usual and the service was good for it being a busy night. Don’t think I’ll ever eat here again, but I’ll be back to other McMenamins locations!

We found the time delay most disappointing: 25 minutes after designated time. Attention from server was marginal, likely due to short-staffing. Menus - while offering ~12 entrees - was very narrow, with emphasis on red meat and/or spiciness. We settled for 2 traditional ham meals. The flavor was satisfactory. Presentation of meals was poor - unappealing - with the ham smothering the side dishes. Price of meals was high, as is all other prices for lodging -bottled/tap beverages - et al. Guest room was quite large. It was poorly heated. The bathroom sink drain was very sluggish.

This was Christmas Day dinner. We have gone for over 15 years. There are usually more options for vegetarians than this year. In fact, last year they had a complete vegetarian plate with a meat alternative as an option for turkey. No vegetarian soup offered, or small plates of veggies as in the past. There was only one veggie entree which neither of us liked. We had to order veggie burgers from the bar, which we knew from a previous visit in the summer. Next year probably will go somewhere else. Service was good though.

Excellent meal! Christmas Day so was very busy, and the staff were super kind and attentive, and the food was delicious. Wide variety from the menu ordered by our group and it was all good!

Our first time doing Christmas dinner at the Black Rabbit. Wonderful service and nice options for food, both brunch and holiday dinner.
