   First time dining at McLoone's. We started with the calamari which was well done and tasty. Great marinara sauce. We decided to order the brown sugar salmon and mahi mahi from the standard menu as we like to split and share entrees. They looked well plated but they were quite bland. I also ordered the Betty Caesar salad which was okay - dressing was heavy on the anchovies/salt for my taste. Our server was reasonably attentive but he had a soft speaking voice and the noise volume demanded a louder voice and presence to be effective . The noise level in the restaurant was higher than expected and preferred. Somewhat due to the many families with young kids dining there (we were part of the 530pm dinner crowd so perhaps should have anticipated this) and the noise filtering from the bar area. We'd thought the dinner was going to have a quieter, upscale ambience. Overall it was just an okay dining experience with a high price point for the quality received.

   My wife ordered the NY Strip Steak medium. It came out medium rare and was chewy and tough to cut even with the steak knife. We told our server who saw less than half the food was eaten and she said “sorry”. I ordered the Mahi Mahi over white asparagus, which were overcooked and when I tried to cut the asparagus they just turned to mush. Very disappointed in McLoone’s.

   It was a rough one tonight at McLoones! We were told our reservation wasn’t ready and waited 30 minutes. No one checked with us. Then we told the hostess we were going to leave and she said she could seat us. No one ever came to us at the table. We waived down a manager finally and he brought us water. Almost an hour after our reservation we decided it was time to leave and go somewhere else. Hopefully it was just an off night.

   Adam our server was amazing. Honestly this place is one my favorites. I would consider myself a generally picky person in terms of food so I will just have to say that the food is OK, but it always leaves me satisfied. Brunch on Sundays is quite expensive for what it is but we love the space and absolutely keep coming back because this place is so family friendly!! Thank you McCloones!

    It was a very strange combination of hits and misses. The omelette was good, but scrambled eggs were cool and overdone and the bacon was downright cold which made the grease congeal- very unappealing. The shrimp were large, delicious and fantastic but this lox platter didn't even have onions or capers and unfortunately, the bagels were dry as sawdust without any flavor. Lenders bagels would have been much better. In addition to the sawdust bagels, there are only many croissants and no other selection of sliced bread or rolls. The desserts were mostly terrible except for the mini cream puffs. We nevertheless enjoyed ourselves because the servers were fantastic and we were determined to have a good time.
