Set at 738 York Street, in a building that was built in 1884 is McCollum’s on York. Our space is newly renovated. Chef Richard McCollum and team prepare their seasonal menu from our scratch kitchen. Ingredients are local as possible, and we use KY Proud products. Lounge opening in early 2025

Wonderful atmosphere. Decorated wonderfully for the holidays. Staff is extremely friendly. Food is delicious. The owner even made an appearance to ask how our food and experience was so far. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful meal at McCollum’s on York! Service was excellent and the food was delish! Shout out to Judith, our server, and Genesis, the fantastic mixologist. I definitely recommend the Maple Old Fashioned!

Four of us had dinner at McCollum’s tonight, each ordering something different. Each meal was delicious! We also shared the crab and lobster appetizer and key lime pie for dessert. The atmosphere and service were fantastic! We look forward to next time. 😋

It’s a new restaurant so certainly there’s wrinkles still to be ironed out. We will check back again in a couple of months. The menu is pretty slim. My husband had the ribeye and it was cooked to perfection but did not have much in the way of seasoning also looks like it was cooked in a sous vide so it had a peculiar appearance which if you’re familiar with how things look when they come out of a sous vide you would understand. Maybe needed to put some grill marks on it. The gnocchi that came with the short ribs was not good at all. I very much enjoyed gnocchi and I had gnocchi many times that was not good gnocchi. There was no sauce on the short rib, so they were rather dry. Maybe overcooked a bit we had the corn pudding which also was very dry was not of the consistency, I would consider acorn pudding. They served mashed potatoes with the steak and the mashed potatoes were very good. They do not serve any type of bread with your meal. You have to purchase that The service was very slow hopefully they get that worked out. I think they did a beautiful job updating the restaurant. The front window was beautiful and I look forward to trying the restaurant again in the future.

We were really impressed with our experience. Our server was outstanding and each of the four of us really enjoyed our dinner. Fun cocktails, as well. The space has had a nice “refresh” from York St. Give it a try!

McCollum’s on York The former York Street Cafe has been completely renovated with new name, new owners and new menu. New Owners Richard and Jennifer McCollum have done an amazing job from renovation to new menu design. The food, our service and overall experience was incredible. I highly recommend this new bistro for any occasion. We will be back. D. Warner

The transformation is stunning. Beautifully embraces the historic grace of the location. The pork carries the perfect smoke and stays moist. I highly recommend the filet as it is so tender and perfectly prepared for each of our party all of whom requested different preparedness and all of which was on point. The sharable sides are the perfect vessels for delicious conversation. I'm looking forward to experiencing more of the current menu and the seasonal menus to come.

It was like coming back home but the place has been cleaned up modernized and felt very spacious. Menu favorite cheeseburger was back and was DELICIOUS. Attentive but not over bearing service. Lots of new menu choices we will be returning to try. Talked to owner and they have big plans for a second floor lounge and an updated patio next summer.
