Maxwell's Bar & Grill abrió sus puertas a principios de 1980 y ha seguido creciendo al punto de ser uno de los restaurantes mejor establecidos en Convent Garden. Maxwell's sirve un menú de comida verdaderamente al estilo estadounidense, la cual incluye favoritos como filetes de primera calidad, hamburguesas, potato skins (cáscaras de papa rellenas con papa, carne y crema), surf 'n' turf (plato principal que combina mariscos y carne), pescado fresco y ensaladas ligeras. El restaurante cuenta con dos pisos en un lugar envidiable ubicado en James Street, en el corazón de Convent Garden. La decoración también es una alusión a los amigos del otro lado del charco, ya que cuenta con lujosas cabinas de cuero con luz neón en la pared. El bar de cocteles de Maxwell's es un gran atractivo y cuenta con bartenders mezclando una gran variedad de cocteles clásicos.

Las hamburguesas muy ricas. El servicio muy irregular: Buena acogida al principio, luego lentitud a la hora de servir y cobrar. La camarera, malencarada.

El servicio es malo. Tardan una eternidad para tomar la orden y otra eternidad para traer los alimentos. La comida es muy promedio, nada extraordinario.

Of an age when remember Maxwell's in Hampstead! Been coming ever since and generally been good. Went a Sat after theatre ... pretty busy. Greating was good and friendly. Service was average at best tho. My daughter and I both had the wagyu burger. Why do restaurants serve fries/chips in a basket! Nicely done burger and good chips .. bit mean on the ketchup/mayo serving tho and bacon was a tad tasteless. Gents toilets were messy.

Be careful of the gents toilets I’ve literally slipped over more times in that toilet and then I have when I’ve been iceskating I’ve got no idea what covering they’ve put on that floor but it is like ice skating. Be careful.

Fantastic place to dine. I can't believe in all my years in London, I've never come across this little gem before. The service was good. The drinks took a very long time to arrive, thank God for the tap water placed on the table on arrival. The food also took a while to come, but this was not an issue. We had our starters and were able to let that go down before the main course. I can not fault the food it was delicious and generous portions, so the wait was soon forgiven. The lovely man at front of house was very apologetic about our wait and gave us a discount due to this. 4 very happy, very full customers that can not wait to return to Maxwell's

Booked for daughter's 15th birthday celebration. Had been before for husband's 50th Birthday where service and food had been excellent. Unfortunately no mention made by serving staff of my daughter's birthday which was disappointing as she was excited to return for a meal. Also delay with main meals, two arrived but had quite a wait for third meal to appear. Overall not the experience we had hoped for on this occasion.

It was our daughter's 13th birthday, nothing was too much hassle for our Server, Sarah T. We were seated quickly upstairs, the drinks were great and the food was amazing. We had the Mac n cheese with no onion crust, fajitas, vegan chilli and sides. The food was the amazing, full of flavour and presented very well. Our daughter had a birthday brownie and song which was a lovely touch. Our Server was lovely and efficient. We would definitely recommend Maxwell's and will visit again. Perfect venue for families

We had booked our table as part of a birthday celebration for my daughter before we went to the theatre. The service was excellent! Hot food, served very quickly and all fresh and delicious. Great sized portions. Excellent choice for all our party. Fantastic value. My daughter was also treated to a ‘Happy Birthday’ shout out and special birthday Brownie which was a lovely touch. Thank you so much to everyone!

This is the worse meal I have had in London. Have eaten here many times before, but unfortunately the food was awful and service poor.
