The food was excellent. I they have adopted a new system of order from a code located at the table and may still be having trouble getting use to it. Timing of the food arrival was poorly done as appetizers and the main course came at the same time. Tables are too small for that to be accommodated. As well, with the new system you pay at the time of order with a credit card and at that moment it is asking about tipping. I have a bit of a problem when we have barely sat down and are being asked for a tip. In the end we did enjoy the quality of the meal. I understand trying to figure out how to serve people with fewer staff, especially when staffing is challenging. Unfortunately I think they need to find a way to make sure the timing of the meal is accurate. Tooling at the time of ordering is an annoyance to me.

Incredible experience. I'd hate to give away my version of an experience there. Juat go give it a try. Absolutely amazing.

I used to go to Mattone in its previous location and this building is such a step up. The initial order/pay system through phone was odd, but it was lovely finishing up and just being able to leave. Food was amazing like I had remembered, except I found the pizza Bianca wasn’t my favourite. The spicy seafood rigatoni was incredible with perfectly done seafood and pasta. The focaccia blew me away. The marinated olives were mind blowing as well. Had the Italian 75 and ordered another one for dessert. Service was so wonderful, friendly and fast.

We found the new system to order food impersonal ; like a cafeteria. Having to tick of boxes on your phone to prove you are not a robot before you can pay is not acceptable. Also unacceptable is to have to tip when ordering before even getting your food. The food was OK; nothing special. Not much in the way of meat sauce in the lasagna and the pizza could definitely have done with more toppings. Very reasonable priced and delicious white wine.

Food is excellent ! menu is limited. Service is a catch for me. You order at the counter but food is brought to the table. Would rather table ordering as you tip at time of placing your order but have no idea if you’re going to get good service. Always have and the staff have been great, but….Have to start brining cash so I can tip at the table after I eat. I’m old school and BC Canada has a $17.30 minimum age so to me,tips are earned with exceptional service not by existing on planet earth. On another note, place can get very loud if busy to the point its hard to have a conversation, but an amazing view. Saying all this I really enjoy the food and staff and go pretty regularly.

Food was good except for seafood linguini...only 3 shrimp and 6 baby clams and only luke warm. Server was outstanding A little overpriced as you have to do your own ordering. Will come back.
