Mati is our go-to restaurant for special occasions and it never disappoints. The food is impeccable, the service attentive and professional, and the setting is lovely. Whether we come as a couple or with friends, we know we will have a great food and time.

The atmosphere and service was great, however our mains (rib steak with fingerling potatoes and the roasted truffle chicken with carrots and potatoes) were extremely salty. The more we ate, the saltier it seemed to get. We both couldn’t finish our mains because of the saltiness. Everything was extremely heavily salted from the protein to the potatoes and vegetables. Otherwise, there was good flavour in the steak from being grilled on an open fire and the steak was quite tender. The chicken didn’t really have any truffle taste to it but it was juicy, not sure if I’d get the chicken again though. We started with the tuna tartare and the tuna sushi. The sushi was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend. The tuna tartare seemed like it was lacking something in terms of flavour because the tuna fell a bit flat but the taro chips it came were delicious and crunchy.

We had a terrific time celebrating our anniversary at Mati. The service was incredible from as soon as we arrived until our departure. The servers were super helpful and really seemed to care about their customers. The seafood tower was delicious as was the steak. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you!

The food and service here are absolutely unmatched. Definitely recommend the burrata and sea food tower. Just WOW! Also, the cocktails here are so well presented, as well as delicious. We will be returning!
