Comfortable dining areas featuring wood tabletops, leather banquettes, and raised booths, as well as a spacious bar area and flexible seating for large groups further emphasize the welcoming, energetic atmosphere that matchbox is known to cultivate at each restaurant.     My waiter was very rude and kept rolling her eyes when we asked for assistance. The food was okay but I wasn’t a fan my french toast was soggy in the middle and the crust was rock hard. My friend ordered the bottomless mimosas and the waiter kept forgetting to bring her the drinks. Very unsatisfied will not be returning.

    I was excited to try the brunch that I saw on Instagram. When I arrived for my 11am reservation at the silver spring location, I was told they only had table tops available. We sat for about 15 mins, no server came to offer water or take our orders. We decided to sit at the bar which had seats available, the service was slightly better most likely due to the bartender waiting on several people seated at the bar. I noticed all the available wait staff walking around looking busy but doing nothing but looking at handheld card readers. I will not come back to this location for brunch, I hope they do better with service.

    First time going for brunch here (usually go for lunch or dinner) but it was overall a great experience! Super busy since it was a late Sunday morning so it took a while to initially get served/taken care of once at the table but the food was very good. Never seen unlimited brunch food before so that was a cool concept, would definitely go back!

    I was so disappointed with our server, service and quality of the food. The details of how brunch was offered wasn’t made clear and we waited an hour before our food order was taken. Most of the food was sent back. Definitely nothing like the matchbox in Rockville, MD. Music was super loud for a Sunday brunch even though the restaurant wasn’t crowded.

    The whole entire experience was amazing! This is the 2nd year the family and I have been here for Valentine’s Day together celebrate & as always, it was perfect! The only downside was the waitress during our visit. She had a terrible attitude and it seemed as though she had a very short temper, however the food was great and everything was beyond amazing. Another memory for the books! Thank you Matchbox <3

    Food was as expected from matchbox. For restaurant week, I’d have expected better service. Saw our server exactly three times. 15min after we sat down, after our drinks were empty, and for the check. They were at maybe 40% capacity. No good reason for that on a Friday night.

    I have been to Matchbox a few times but the service this time was severely lacking. We were sat as soon as we got there as the restaurant was relatively empty. We had to sit for 15 minutes while employees were passing us by without anyone assisting us. Then when someone finally approached, we did not have the right menu which she went to grab. After grabbing the menu, she proceeded to have a 5 minute conversation with a couple at a table next to us before handing us the menu. After placing the order for the appetizers and entree, it took over 30 minutes for the appetizers to be brought it and once I mentioned it, she ignored it and walked away. The entrees were brought out not long after and they were cold. The service was horrible and the food was mediocre.

    I think this is my new favorite matchbox location! The food was excellent, the vibes were great, and my only concern was seeing the bartender run the entire bar section with minimal support. She was extremely busy tending bar, prepping table drinks, running food, and helping all of the high tops, making it difficult to get refills for soft drinks, to no fault of her own. Beyond that, my party had a wonderful experience and I look forward to returning next time I’m in town.

    When we seat outside, there was a homeless person right out front of the restaurant. Not a good look.
