A great vibe in this welcoming pub setting. Roaring fire and environment makes it a welcome break from London bars. The waiting staff are happy and happy to serve! The roasts are delicious. Try the sticky toffee pudding - it’s amazing

We loved the surroundings, this is a cosy pub with old fashioned feel but with very high quality of food. Usually this is a quiet option - the Marquess is off the beaten track and has the vibe of a place where locals in the know go. This time there was an event on in the back room (a wake) which meant it was very crowded and a bit louder than usual. So it was not what we expected, having visited many times before. But it did make me think that if I had to choose a venue for a wake then this would be on my list. Overall an excellent dining experience - I just hope it doesnt get too well known or we wont be able to get a table!

This is now my local! LOVE it! We were a group of 15 all my friends liked it. Very cosy and not super crowded pub!

Excellent reasonably priced wine with a great choice: neighbourhood favourite. Thoroughly good nosh, too! Lots of choice. Service was superb as always.

There was an admin error with our NYE booking but the staff were very helpful in sorting it. Very tasty food but my venison pie had about four cubes of meat in it which wasn't good value. Lovely decor and ambience.
