Mark’s Table is a Japanese-inspired New American cuisine restaurant located in the Ginza district of Tokyo. Chef Mark Sekita has created a space where people can enjoy the flavors of both his childhood and his travels, highlighting seasonal ingredients of Japan.     Apart from a great meal, and a notable wine list, Mark kept to his word, making his restaurant his own kitchen and casually chatting with his guests. Dry special place. A labour of love as he would say!

    Excellent food, service, and intimate atmosphere. Mark does an excellent job of sourcing local ingredients across Japan and incorporating them into his dishes. It results in complex and exceptional flavors. Really enjoyed how Mark explains each dish and the inspiration behind each dish. Looking forward to coming back.

    I brought my wife for her fort trip to Japan and happened across this restaurant. The food was amazing. Chef Mark has excellent instincts and the depth and complexity of his flavors shows incredible talent. Each course in the table d’hote menu is well constructed. When we were there the chilled corn soup showed great creativity and the pasta and steak courses were perfectly executed. Best of all, the chef prepares the meal in front of you and takes the time to present and explain each dish to you. The chef draws his inspiration from his half Italian and half Japanese heritage and he elegantly blends the two together into each course. While the alcohol selection is limited, each course pairs well with one of the wines offered by the glass. Definitely worth checking out this hidden gem if you are in Tokyo.

    Mark put together a fish and vegetable only menu for us and it was fabulous. He explains each dish thoroughly and gives great advice on the wine as well. Can't wait to go again!

    The food is nothing short of extraordinary ! Such a tremendous blend of flavors and textures. We really enjoyed the blending on western dishes and local ingredients rich with flavor. Can’t wait to come back! Mark is also a gracious host and the decor is very chic and cozy.

    Dined at Mark's Table for the first time on the day after Christmas with good friends (a foursome) and had a wonderful time. There was a lovely welcome note awaiting our arrival, and the atmosphere was cozy with Mark telling us about the ingredients, his inspirations and culinary and cultural influences that went into each course of the set menu that was served. Mark was delightful and every member of our group had a fabulous experience. The spiced rum soup w/ crispy pancetta had a nice holiday season feel. We enjoyed cod croquettes, and Mark's house-made fettuccine had a mushroom sauce that had a Japanese touch to it. I'm writing this 2 months later so I might be missing specific details but my taste buds still remember the delicious braised wagyu beef and the dessert which was his vanilla ice cream with a delicate berry sauce. The wine list is not huge but very thoughtfully put together and has selections for various tastes. I don't live in Tokyo but I will be back to enjoy Mark's Table whenever I am in town.
