As a pioneer of yakiniku with now more than 70 years of history, MANPUKU brings you the authentic “Taste of Tokyo” experience focuses on bites of raw protein and vegetables cooked tableside over small grills and eaten fresh and hot.

MANPUKU, which means “to be happy with a full stomach” in Japanese, brings interactive Japanese yakiniku dining to Dallas with its first Texas restaurant, slated to open on Lower Greenville June 29.

We visited Sunday evening. The food was so delicious that we went back for multiple servings of our favorites. We ordered Sumo platter first, and could find our favorites in that plate. My whole family was very happy. Garlic asparagus and garlic fried rice are “must-order” items. Of course, the quality of meat is top-notch. All meats were outstanding. The atmosphere was great too; even though there were many customers, it was quiet and comfortable. Service was also wonderful. I’m very satisfied and will definitely visit again soon.

We absolutely loved our meal at Manpuku. Everything from the drinks to the service was great. Highly recommend the miso marinated beef and the garlic fried rice or noodles.

Manpuku was a fun experience for a birthday dinner with just me and my fiance. We had the American Wagyu tasting menu that you grill at your table and enjoyed all of the offerings. We have done a similar experience while on vacation, and while we felt that Manpuku wasn't as high-end as that experience, it was still very enjoyable and you get lots of food for the price. Highlights were the beef sukiyaki and the ribeye. The appetizers the come with the tasting menu were all great as well. Come hungry, leave happy. It was a fun way to change up date night and have more of an experience than just a dinner.

Fantastic, service was excellent and quality of meat was top notch. Enjoyed our dinner from start to finish and cannot wait to go back. Highly highly recommend.

Absolutely loved it! Every table was occupied but was still quiet and pleasant. Service was amazing and food was delicious!! Great for new years / special occasion.

Wonderful time there. Staff was so nice and welcoming while also being attentive. Food was great and so were the drinks! We’ll be back!
