Made a reservation through Open Table for Valentine’s Day at Mama Lolita’s and confirmed reservation by text. Unfortunately when we arrived, there was a sign on the door that the restaurant was temporarily closed. As you can imagine, this put a damper on our date.

THIS PLACE IS CLOSED i MADE RESERVATIONS FOR V-DAY ONLY TO SHOW UP AND FIND THEM CLOSED THAT WAS EMBARRASSING LEAVING US WITH NO RESERVATIONS FOR VALENTINES DAY TERRIBLE

We made reservations for Valentines day and the booking system sent me reminders and asked that we confirm our reservation - which I did. We traveled to the restaurant for our 6:45 p.m. reservation to learn by a sign on the window that the restaurant was closed??? It would have been really the right thing for the restaurant to reach out to those that made reservations with an email/text etc... to say sorry we are no longer open for business. OpenTable asked me to rate - food, service, etc. I could not write a review without first filling out the survey questions... so please disregard those ratings as N/A was not an option. OpenTable needs to know when a restaurant that they support has closed its doors too.

This restaurant says it’s open even allows you to make a reservation, charges a fee to make the reservation if you cancel and when you get there there’s a sign that says it’s permanently closed.

They were closed. On Valentine’s Day we showed up and they were closed, we couldn’t find anywhere else to eat because it was valentines

it was permanently closed when we arrived even though we were able to make a reservation on open table so didn't make for a pleasant valentine's experience. Shouldn't have been still listed on open table.

We had reservations for Tuesday night and somehow they processed the reservation through OpenTable even though we were unable to dine there that night. When we arrived to dinner, the restaurant was dark and closed with a note on the door saying they were closed. We did not receive any notification from the restaurant even though we had a reservation. We heard the same happened to people on Valentine’s Day. They were not open and did not notify reservations. I tried emailing the restaurant from their contact on their website, but received no response. Disappointing because it was a good restaurant and we were bringing some out of town guests there to dine. I understand emergencies happen, but I don’t understand why those with reservations were not notified and instead somehow processed in OpenTable as if we had actually checked in and dined there that night.

This is a lovely, local restaurant. We've recommended it to several friends and neighbours. The menu is small, but everything we've had is delicious.
