Where to start? The service was impeccable! Attentive and kind lady who took such good care of us. The food, 10/10. Every flavor was perfectly balanced and kept me excited for the next bite. The overall vibe of this place is warm, inviting and fillled with Aloha. Chef Scotty is a hero. Can’t wait to go back.

Broke our Christmas tradition to try this place out, and what a mistake that was. Basically ruined our entire mood for a very special Christmas Eve with our kids. The absolute worst service we have ever had. The server made us feel rushed when we first sat down. Then rarely came back. Drinks took forever. Didn’t check on the food. A slice of cake took so long we started to pack up to leave and the server didn’t mention anything about the cake or bother to clear our dinner plates. I wish we could get a refund because it truly sucked. Save your money and cook at home over this place.

My previous experience was terrible! This was shortly after they opened and the food was horrible. Gave it a 2nd try and it was much improved. It's still very noisy but not as bad in the back! It is on the pricier side.

It was our first time dining at Makawao Public House. We were pleasantly impressed. I work in restaurants on the island, so I have a high expectation for food I classify as good! The food was really good! We had the Blackened Ahi app, the upcountry salad, thesmashburger and the Braised short rib. All were delicious! The service was friendly and prompt. The cocktails were tastey as well!

It was a special occasion and the entire staff made us feel seen and special! Everything was perfect! Mouchi Ahi appetizer - amazing! Short ribs, Curry and Smash Burger Entries were all outstanding. Great flavors! Yummy sauces...... And great cocktails too! Mahalo!

We’ve dined @ this restaurant several occasions and it’s always excellent. Would recommend to anyone to dine here and GREAT customer service.
