   Food was wonderfully full of flavour but not too much spice. Lovely staff who were brilliant at recommending their favourite dishes (all of which we loved!)

   Interesting, unusual twist on Nepalese cuisine our waiter who l believe may have been of Nepali extraction was charming and helpfull. The very relaxed cafe style atmosphere with simple wooden tables and chairs isn't the story here, so don't be taken in, this place is for serious foodies, it's definately the food that does the talking, not everything was brilliant, the menu is quite limited but most things were of such a standard that l can't wait to return to re-sample certain favourites. I'm not alone, my partner who is nothing if not a dab hand at turning out culinary gems, expressed her wish that we return (post hast) to clarify on second tastings our very good first impressions.

   We booked places at Madame D for the lunch. We were taking a reservation deposit of £20 per person. Interesting, that during the lunch there was only one other couple at the resturant. The main resturant is closed during lunch time. The only area near the bar is available to eat during the lunch time when is ok but not very exciting.. The food was good.

   Great place to have a cocktail or grab some dinner with friends. Happy hour till 7pm with a good variety of cocktails. The food was delicious! Great chilled out vibe. The staff were all very polite and helpful.

   Really lovely team, providing fun friendly service and very honest ("I think you've ordered more than enough food."). Atmosphere was casual and friendly amongst diners in close proximity. Veggie Aubergine dish won for me, chicken was lovely and moist... Felt the menu didn't quite live up to the rave reviews and could've enjoyed a much spicier set of dishes (perhaps we just picked the wrong things?). Come here for a laid back boozy eats with friends.

   The food at Madame D's was delicious, as were the cocktails. The overall ambience however was rather lacking. There was a screen hiding the aircon, which was leaking - but this didn't really bother us at all, and the staff were apologetic about it. What was a shame however, was how the tables downstairs were all crammed closely together even though upstairs was available and completely empty. Our waiter was very friendly, but it was hard to get his attention, and we didn't receive a few items that we'd ordered, which was disappointing. The website doesn't it make it clear that most of the food is to share, and choice was rather limited.

   Food was poor and cold, trying to be trendy with a take on Nepalese food which does not work. My stomach was not too good the following day and neither was my guests. Toilets were filthy so would question the hygiene. Extremely dissapointing. Bill was brought before we had finnished.

   This is the third time I've been here- and sadly the most disappointing. I don't know if the menu or prices have changed recently, but it was really poor value for money. The service was okay- my starter came out with my main but staff were generally attentive. The food was not as good as I remembered though. So disappointed as I previously raved about this place. Hoping it was a one off.

    The downstairs was nice and bustling on the summer evening so we asked if we could have a table that was emptying, but then we were refused even though other people were eating downstairs because we had a reservation and were forced to go upstairs, despite more than a couple of tables downstairs being empty and available. Food was strictly okay. some things were pricey. The lady serving us in the restaurant was very good, helpful and nice. The manager downstairs less so to the point of being rude.
