Macellaio RC is a growing family of three Italian restaurants in London.
Our restaurants are most famous for its fine steak. In fact, Macellaio means "butcher" and we like to call our steakhouses the butchery with tables. The steak we serve is exclusively from the Fassona beef breed, sourced from special mountain valleys in the north of Genoa.
We take pride in sourcing incredible authentic Italian ingredients, food with utmost respect, preparing it with love, and expertly cooking each dish bringing to life a delightful trattoria dining experience.

Led by the executive chef and head butcher, the three-hour class will begin with a history behind our meat, a lesson on the importance of timing and how to select, prepare and cook the best cut. Discover the power of wine pairing, sampling the various characteristics of the wines and flavours. Afterwards, you'll be treated to a true taste of Italy with a three-course set meal against the backdrop of the dramatic and theatrical in-house butchery and bakery. Servicio muy amable. Calidad de carne excelente. La pasta también muy buena. Precio un poco caro, pero el producto es muy bueno. Repetiríamos!

I was the host, but one of my guests had arrived before me was given the window table right at the end by the frying station. My husband sat facing the window and his shoulder was touching the corner of the bar. The curtains of the windows kept on coming loose each time we moved and we had to hang them up several times. It was a cold day and the restaurant was not heated well and cold air was coming through the single glazed window. We asked to be moved to another table, but the guy at the front of the house was not very helpful. Luckily, the Italian sommelier lady helped us to move to the bench seat table at the back. Although on your website you say that you do sunday roast, it was not on the menu and we were told that menu was still being prepared. I am not sure if it was not the usual staff or not, but this was not the service and attentiveness I was expecting. This was my 3rd visit, but I am not sure how soon I will return. Food was good.

Steak flavor was good just wish the temp was a bit hotter. The staff were very friendly but the service was a bit slow on the drinks. Overall it was good food and vibe, very convenient to go before the music show at Sondheim theater.

I returned my pasta meal because it wasn’t hot enough, the server told me three times that it was tested in the kitchen and met the requirements. I assume they only tested the middle as the outside was tepidI. wasn’t happy with this and it was then heated up, I felt embarrassed by the way it was handled with everyone looking, no apology just kept telling me it was hot enough! My husband’s steak was perfectly cooked and he enjoyed his meal so all was not lost.

An oasis of calm amidst the post Christmas crush. Psst! - don't tell everyone. Great menu, wonderful wine selection and superb service. We'll definitely be back.
