Macellaio RC is a growing family of three Italian restaurants in London.
Our restaurants are most famous for its fine steak. In fact, Macellaio means "butcher" and we like to call our steakhouses the butchery with tables. The steak we serve is exclusively from the Fassona beef breed, sourced from special mountain valleys in the north of Genoa.
We take pride in sourcing incredible authentic Italian ingredients, food with utmost respect, preparing it with love, and expertly cooking each dish bringing to life a delightful trattoria dining experience.
Immerse yourself in an unparalleled dining experience where your steak is masterfully butchered and presented to you before being cooked, and where our chefs craft artisan breads, focaccia and pizza in-house.

Led by the executive chef and head butcher, the three-hour class will begin with a history behind our meat, a lesson on the importance of timing and how to select, prepare and cook the best cut. Servicio muy amable. Calidad de carne excelente. La pasta también muy buena. Precio un poco caro, pero el producto es muy bueno. Repetiríamos!

We went to the restaurant on the 23/03/25, I had reserved the table for my boyfriend's birthday. The server did the absolute most to make our experience top notch, He was soo attentive, also very fun and sang happy birthday with enthusiasm for my boyfriend. The food was delicious. Great food, absolutely fantastic service, we will definitely be coming back.

Delicious food. I had the anchovy starter and the filet for my main and I was pleased with both of them. The tiramisu was also lovely. Definitely recommend

Very overpriced. Didn't have the cut we were after and suggested an alternative. Was okay, but definitely not as good as expected. The (very expensive) wine was corked, but they tried to explain it away, by stating it just needed to breath and open up a bit. I should have listed top my gut and not accepted it. Overall, a very average experience, but at a very expensive price point.

Great attention to detail. Managers were ever present and ensuring patrons and staff were al happy. Cocktails were great, disappointed our wine selection was out of stock but they had other options. Food was superb. Carrots were delicious!!

Great service food and staff. Overall superb experience. Couldn't fault anything. My second visit and it didn't disappoint and I gurantee there will be more.. Would definitely recommend .

Probably the best meat I have ever had in a restaurant - Italian run and Italian style. We loved it. High end dining to compliment the theatre show next door

Fantastic meal and service at Macellaio RC Soho last night. We had a Virgin voucher for 2 courses plus Prosecco. The food was fantastic we had ravioli and a cheese burger with circular crimped “chips” plus Tiramisu and a beautifully presented rose filigree pastry apple “pie” with sauce. Everything tasted beautiful and authentic. Service was excellent friendly attentive and efficient. Staff knew we were catching a train later and speeded up a bit. The restaurant was full before our 6.30pm booking so we had a stroll and seat outside for 15 mins. I would definitely return with friends and family. Ideally located on Shaftesbury Avenue in between two theatres. Other diners were eating huge shared platters of beautifully cooked meat, and everyone looked very happy, as were we.

Amazing steak night!! The food and the wine is simply amazing if you are out for a steak night. But it all gets better with the impeccable service. Our server Fidan made sure we mad the right choices and we were well cared for the whole night. Really enjoyed it and will definitely go back.
