   I had confirmation of my reservation on 6 March and was therefore surprised that on arrival, before my allotted time, to be told that we called you to inform that you were being upgraded to the private dining room. This call never happened. That said, we duly waited to be seated in the private dining room. It transpired that a table was now ready for us in the main dining room toward the rear under a large window. Clearly not the private dining room but no explanation given as to why this was. Moreover, we were told the table had been modified and when queried, were told that an additional chair had been put at the end of the table. Clearly there was an issue with the restaurant being over booked despite having had confirmation of my reservation for over 3 weeks, so that in itself was disappointing. Additionally, the large window we were sat under had no blind and I sat for half of the dinner with my sunglasses due to the glare of the sun. It is unlikely that we will book again at a time of any celebration or key event such as Mother’s Day or similar. That said, all of the above took the shine off the lovely meal we all experienced.

   Lovely food, friendly service though a little slow. However it was Mother’s Day so expected. Really nice vibe, will definitely visit again.

   We normally dine at Harpenden but because in was Mother’s Day we decided to book a table at Woburn as my mum lives nearby The service was excellent as was the food the staff worked very hard on this very very busy day we enjoyed this first time at Woburn and would definitely be returning Staff and food excellent

   Given that it was Mother’s Day, and very busy, the staff could not have been more attentive and accommodating. You know when food is good, because everyone stops talking for a few minutes and all you can hear is “mmmmm” and “you have to try this”. Clear plates all-round, even from our 16 month old! Highly recommended.

   Such a lovely place to meet and eat, we had a lovely afternoon celebrating our lovely mum. Food and service in a lovely setting overlooking Woburn was fantastic. Value for money, the three course menu option is highly recommended. Thank you for making our lunch with mum a day to remember

   Great meal, good service. No-one else there so a bit of a strange ambience but we enjoyed the food.

   Very nice environment but the food was not up to the standard of our previous visit. The flatbread in my husband’s main course was hard and difficult to cut through. The fish cake was tasty but the sauce looked as if it had been sitting around before being served. Chips arrived rather late when we were part way through the meal. Whilst these seem minor issues in isolation and we didn’t mention them at the time (other than to ask where the chips were), it was a disappointing meal especially compared with the very enjoyable one we had in January.

   Very pleasant restaurant with good menu choices reasonably priced food (although wine looked expensive). Great friendly and helpful service and food was well prepared and presented, well cooked. Venue lack a bit of ambiance and can be noisy when full. We had a lunch for two and based on our experience would return and recommend.
