   Excellent dependable neighborhood restaurant with incredible pastas and entrees. The butterflied branzino with olive oil, tomatoes and capers is always awesome!

   The pastas (all handmade), including the excellent gluten-free option are delicious. The salads were also fresh and delicious. We all loved everything we ordered!

   Lupo Verde, in DC’s Palisades neighborhood is a (not so hidden) gem! While they do a brisk dinner business - great people watching accompanied by wonderful food & wines, I love going for late (after 13:00) lunches! The staff is warm & attentive, the orders come out of the kitchen quickly, or if you’re able to linger (Italian style) at a leisurely pace - just let them know ‘no rush!’ The dining rooms are serene, and have great light. The menu options are varied and a great cross section of Italian regional cuisines. Wine list is quite good. Enjoy!

   Terrible wine by the glass selection for $15 starting price point. Good food. Service mediocre. On first floor the Tables are jammed together so cannot hear person across from you at your table. Pricing is high. Cold air draft was very uncomfortable during our dinner (apparently you had the door open out back?) If you could solve for the wine by the glass situation it would help a lot. Terrible selection and outrageously priced. Unfortunate as we live in the neighborhood and would like to be regular's.

   Lots of problems. Service was very bad. started ok but the person never re-appeared for ages. he had an attitude. very crowded. Every time waiter passed our table we were hit in back of head by her body or tray. super annoying. we moved table 2x but still an issue. the food was very average but the prices were high to super high. almost silly high. overall value for money major fail. sad because we ate there 6 months ago and it was excellent.

   We have already called to put in our concerns, but we felt that three hours for dinner took way too long. Often the server did not notice if we needed water. It just felt like the restaurant was terribly shortstaffed and could not deliver quality service on a Friday night, in addition, the eggplant was inedible and The lasagna was disappointing. The pizza dough needs more cooking ( yummy prosciutto. The artichokes were superb as was the Bronzino and the steak.  also the gelato was delicious, but took forever to be delivered, the tiramisu was a disappointment. We know that Lupo verde palisades, but the location of the kitchen and the limitations on the size of your staff which are way too low make the experience, especially on a weekend night not very enjoyable.

    Excellent food and ambience. Charging $12 for still water is completely out of line. Plain water was ordered and this is wrong on many levels.
