Lucia York is an all-day restaurant and cocktail bar serving a modern Italian menu feat. homemade pasta, gelato, pizza, pesce & carne dishes seven days a week.

Located in the heart of York minutes away from York Minster and The Shambles, this stylish restaurant boasts elegant interiors and an attractive heated outdoor courtyard.

Lucia's patisserie is open from 9am every day. The main restaurant opens from 12pm.

Join us at Lucia on the first Sunday of every month with our new Italian cookery masterclass 11:30am - 4pm Hosted by our expert chefs you will enjoy the following Welcome Mimosas, Pastries and Coffee Chef led demonstrations and Fresh Pasta making All ingredients to make your own fresh pasta Two Course lunch Take home your homemade products with a recipe card and cooking instructions Tickets £100 Per Person and a maximum of 10 tickets are available per masterclass. So disappointed. We booked weeks ago for our daughter’s birthday and yet when we arrived there was no table ready for us. It was clear that it was overbooked. Eventually we were shown to the bar so ended up ordering an expensive round of drinks. We were then shown to our table and credit should be given for staff noting it was for a birthday and that we had a gluten intolerant in our party. However it was then some time before our wine order was taken and then our mains a while after that so although our table was booked for 8.30 we were still waiting for food at 9.45! When we complained the cost of a bottle of wine was taken off our bill. Unfortunately the first choice for the gluten intolerant wasn’t available so she hurriedly chose something else which when delivered was clearly not gluten free! Again, profuse apologies but just added to the disappointment. It was sent back and the right meal brought but the sweet potato was undercooked and hard. A nice touch to bring our daughter a dessert with a candle in it but all in all I wouldn’t go back. It’s a beautiful restaurant and the staff were sweet and friendly but clearly overworked. The food was underwhelming and the wine not good value - £40 for a very average red.

Excellent service from start to finish even though it was very busy. The food was beautiful and piping hot.

A lovely but busy place. You need to book. Service was reasonable but not quick. It was a busy lunchtime and the music was a little too loud Food was good quality and fairly well cooked but my chicken was a little over and therefore a bit dry. The salad, olives and mushrooms were very tasty and well presented. The house wine was palatable. My wife’s carbonara was excellent but she said there wasn’t as much sauce as last week when she came with her daughters. The meal was let down by the use of frozen breaded onion Rings- its not hard to make them fresh. You need to be aware of the 10% service charge on your bill which they don’t tell you about or draw to your attention. It is optional but you have to tell them you don’t want to pay it. However we did pay it as o. The whole we were satisfied. Its nice but not the best place in York.

As always the food was amazing. Only constructive criticism is that the Panna Cotta has changed to strawberry Flavour on a Prosecco jelly base, the original version is much nicer. This doesn’t mean it was bad, it was just disappointing. However, overall the food was delicious.

Had a lovely meal at Lucia’s. The food was outstanding, service was very attentive. Not our first visit and won’t be the last. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
