El ambiente en Luce es romántico. Las luces de Murano, el estuco veneciano y los pisos de travertino crean un ambiente exclusivo. Luce significa "luz" en italiano y el restaurante "resplandece" claramente. Luce ofrece una experiencia gastronómica ideal tanto para un almuerzo rápido como para una cena de varios tiempos acompañada de una excelente y variada selección de vinos italianos. Luce sirve comida italiana auténtica, fresca y llena de sabor y pasión, preparada por el chef italiano, Gabriele Grigolon. Luce can comfortably accommodate eighty for a seated dinner and over one hundred for a cocktail event. We have a seasonal patio that can seat up to forty dinner guests and is the perfect venue for a summer evening cocktail reception. Luce is available for private parties, rehearsal dinners, receptions, showers, and all of your special event needs.

Luce patrons can park in the Truist Tower parking deck. Entrances are located on 5th and 6th streets in between College & Tryon. We offer two hours free parking validation M-F before 5pm, after 5pm; on weekends parking is free with Luce validation.
Public transit
You can use the LYNX Light Rail Blue Line and get off on the CTC/Arena station and walk towards 5th street. Walk west on 5th, one block, to the Truist Tower located on the corner of 5th and College. Luce in located on the Tryon level of the Truist Tower in the courtyard.

We went to Luce for an anniversary celebration. While we have no particular complaints, it was not a memorable experience. The food and the service were just ok. We did make a reservation and noted that we were celebrating. They did give us a nice Happy Anniversary card but not even the server was told - or asked - if we were celebrating any occasion.

Luce used to be one of our favorites. We were disappointed this past time though. Ambiance is still incredible and the wait staff is always fabulous and attentive but the food was lackluster this time. We all three got Carbonara. We were so excited but it was a huge disappointment. It used to have so much more flavor. It was just a typical creamy pasta with ham in it this time. The mussels were very yummy. Not a 10, but definitely a strong 8. I know food costs are out the roof these days so maybe kitchens are having to cut costs but it just didn’t seem to be the quality it used to be.

We were visiting Charlotte and took a chance on this restaurant based on the online menu. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our choice. We felt like we were in Italy. The carpaccio, bruschetta, meatballs, lamb and pasta were authentic and delicious. The service was impeccable. We will definitely return to the restaurant when we are back in town.
