Luca West features high-end modern Italian served in a classy, Tuscan setting. Diners will find many of their favorite dishes that made Chef Luca’s Italian Cuisine such a grand success in downtown Cleveland. But new to Luca West are a number of unique menu choices that will become new favorites, for our new friends on the west side of Cleveland.

The wine program at Luca West meets the standards of the most adventurous wine fan, including our globally expansive list of wines by the glass.

I am unable to eat gluten, so I was pleased to know Luca West allegedly could accommodate with their separate gluten free menu. However, that was blatantly untrue. Despite already discussing the gluten issue repeatedly with the waitress during dinner and checking each item, I was served a dessert cocktail containing gluten (crushed graham crackers, which were NOT listed in ingredients on menu). Unfortunately, I didn’t notice until taking a sip of the drink. After informing the waitress that the drink she served contained gluten, she took away the cocktail and insisted it’s “not her fault” because “it’s a new menu item”. The manager then decided to address the issue by only apologizing to my spouse and removing ONLY the charge for that cocktail alone, which no one got to drink anyways since it was immediately taken away. Overall, we spent $240 before tip to be served unsafe food by extremely careless employees. I do NOT recommend eating here.

Delicious Crema di tartufo Bianco ( truffle lobster cream soup). Amazing!! Grilled rack of lamb was done perfectly, generous portion. Excellent!

VERY LOUD! Very good food! I would not recommend this restaurant on the weekend as it is very noisy and loud. It needs fabric to absorb noise. I may try it again on a slower night or in the summer on the patio. We were seated at a table that had about an 8" wobble which was too much to try and stabilize with a menu or anything else. Tables were all set with glassware and silverware. We requested another table. It was also wobbly but we were able to stabilize it with something. The manager came around an hour later and we told him about the first table. He had some bizarre excuse but why they didn't check the table prior to setting it is beyond us. We were looking forward to rack of lamb but it was not on the menu. There was lamb shanks and lamb chops. We thought the chops would be similar to a rack but the were not. Seemed like shanks to me. One person in our party had the crab stuffed flounder which was very good. We were there for a 92 birthday celebration and one of the servers took a photo of our group and it was presented it a folder. Nice touch! Not too many restaurants do this anymore.

Great service! Delicious food! Tasty cocktails! My first time there and I will be going back very soon. Lily, our server, was AMAZING!

Had an amazing evening. Food was wonderful, ambiance was great, and our server, Sandy, made the evening perfect!!!

Had a terrific anniversary dinner! Service was fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and our server timed our courses perfectly. All said, we would highly recommend.
