Located in University City, Louie Louie is an American bistro with a French inspired menu offering seasonal, ingredient-inspired dishes based on a classical combination of flavors. House-made pastries and an extensive beverage program highlighting wines by the glass and bottle as well as seasonal specialty cocktails and craft beers add to the dining experience. The décor pays homage to Art Nouveau and European cafes with a touch of the 1970s. Traditional wood tones, reclaimed subway tiles, tried and true black and white marble stones as flooring and wainscoting and blue and buttery leathers, fabrics and patterns bring color and graphic identities to the space. The Lounge offers custom lux seating, perfect for gathering with friends for cocktails and snacks. Outdoor seating reminiscent of French cafes is the ideal spot for dining and people watching.

Warm welcome from the host. Grabbed a quick cocktail during happy hour with very friendly service. Enjoyed our dinner and service with John. The Crab Louie salad and deviled eggs were scrumptious. The mussels and fries also packed a ton of flavor. Never take the white cosmo martini off the menu. It’s the best!

Great food. Poor service. 2 Drinks were ordered at the start of the meal. One arrived 45 minutes later. The second drink never arrived. Waiter was unavailable for most of the meal and made no effort to assist.

Was a delay in seating and with drinks. But our server was great and food and drinks were good.

This was our third time at Louie Louie, and our first time having brunch. Two of us shared the quiche and the bananas foster waffle, and both were yummy. The other person had the veggie burger, which they enjoyed. The sundae was very yummy too! Highly recommend.

Arrived early and were still seated. Staff didn’t rush us and everything was pretty good. The only non- standout was the scallop appetizer. I didn’t think the flavors blended well. However the oysters and the French onion soup were great! Drinks were delicious. Thank you for another lovely evening!

This was my first time dining here and it was truly a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. My water Nathan was so nice and efficient.

In spite of an often high decibel level, this remains my go to place to take family or have a girlfriend outing. It’s lively, diverse, and have great food.
