L'oca D'oro significa "ganso dorado" y tomó su inspiración del sobrenombre de la hija del chef Tedesco, "Lucy Goose" (Ganso con suerte). El chef Tedesco ofrece una variedad de platillos italianos presentados en porciones individuales o para compartir.     We celebrared our anniversary here. The food and service was incredible! The cocktails are amazing and there wasn’t a single thing that we ordered that we didn’t love. The portions were the perfect size to allow you to try multiple things and everything tasted so fresh and elevated. Will definitely be coming back!

    The food and service was pretty exceptional, however the 20% service fee and credit card processing were a bit excessive. Those things alone make me not want to go back.

    James, Thank you for coming in. I'm so glad you enjoyed and we'd love to have you back. We've had a ser charge on since we opened so our staff do not rely on tips and to enable us to provide living wages, health benefits and PTO to the whole team. This takes the place of tipping which is a model we'd like the industry to move away from. You are not expected to tip in addition. Folks who do typically leave an add'l 3-5%. The CC fee was added in March '23 when rates went up for the third time since we'd re-opened post-pandemic. It's not a perfect solution but we like letting guests know where their money is going. We've also recently lowered our a la carte menu prices and extended Happy Hour to help provide more value. Hope that makes some sense. Take care, Adam Orman, Co-Owner

    2nd time here, had a much better experience the last time around, vegetarian menu was limited to one pasta dish this time, one of the pitfalls of a rotating menu. Tiramisu is still the best item on the menu!

    Mihir, Thanks for coming in and letting us know and I'm so glad you love the Tiramisu. It's the best I've ever had which I can say because I don't make it. You're in luck. We have just started to expand the a la carte menu so there will be two more pastas typically and of the 4 that we'll offer, it's likely that 3 of them will be vegetarian.     Food made from scratch is tough to beat! Great meal but the restaurant atmosphere wasn’t my favorite. We still enjoyed it very much, especially when the series of servers shared their knowledge with us. Service was fantastic.

    This was my second visit and it was fantastic. The service, food and beverages were top notch. I can not recommend this restaurant enough. Don’t miss out on this amazing restaurant!!!

    We have been long-time customers of L'Oro D'Oro. We were excited that they survived Covid We hadn't been there in sometime and were excited to visit this evening, learning of the new fixed-menu format. Whereas the food was good, we felt it was a bit light-- I left hungry! The portions were quite small, period. The appetizer and first dishes were tasty, however the pasta and meat entree were franky very, very small. The Lamb entree was one small piece, one mere piece of lamb-- period! We hadn't been there in a while, and I'm unsure it's worth returning. Too many choices in Austin. To spend over $200 bucks, at minimum you'd walk away not having to stop at P Terry's on the way home. Disappointing.

    Paul, Thanks for coming back in to try the new menu. We really appreciate this feedback and, in fact, will be trying a slightly new format for the Set Menu that I think you'll appreciate. When you're ready I hope you'll come back and let me know if we've met some of your issues. Of course, there's also still the a la carte menu and Happy Hour available on the bar side if you're not ready to jump back in to the Dining Room menu.
