Founded in 2012 by brothers Gabriel and Jose Luis Gonzalez, LIMA is a short 5-minute walk from Tottenham Court and Goodge Street Tube Stations. The restaurant offers a modern, minimalist interpretation of traditional Peruvian culture, with décor inspired by Peru’s vibrant multiculturalism and stunning landscapes. The kitchen is led by Culinary Director Roberto Sihuay, a renowned Peruvian chef, and delivers a menu featuring creative twists on Chifa (Chinese) and Nikkei (Japanese) cuisine, inspired by the dishes from his childhood—such as Shiso Tempura with Otoro and salsa cevichera.

    Hoy, llegando a Londres 🇬🇧, fui a @lima_london (único peruano con 🌟 Michelin) de @virgiliocentral como 1era parada. La cortesía de pan con emulsión de trufa y sopa de zanahoria, necesitaba mezclarse para entenderla. Una soberbia empanada de ají de gallina generó regresos a mi niñez. El ceviche (para aquellos que están en el debate) llevó una reducción de camote fabulosa, donde con la palta (aguacate) y la dosis perfecta de ají lo hicieron muy bueno. El fuerte, un lomito saltado, dejó a deber. El quemadito del wok sobrepaso la cocción de la carne (dura) y con un pastel de choclo de Cuzco un poco quemado, no le dieron nota aprobatoria. 3/5

    Really gone downhill since it lost its Michelin star. Despite their already limited menu they had missing items. A lot of their blockbuster dishes like chaufa fried rice, Cuzco one bread and warm seafood ceviche all gone. Tap water also cost £3 / person when by law it’s meant to be free. Also tried to pull a fast one and deny us the set menu price and the maitre’d was extremely condescending when we pointed it out. I used to recommend this place all the time - now I wouldn’t revisit even if they paid me to. Service was slow beyond imagination - each savory course took 30 mins to server - ridiculous considering how little patrons there were. Also as a point of hygiene - they lay the silverware out on the bare table - which the wipe off using the same table cloth for each table. You really couldn’t point any redeemable features out. Mains were also disproportionately seasoned and ceviche overly acidic compared to past 2 times. Dessert admittedly good - but honestly at the end of such a letdown of an experience- night as we’ll head to Maccas for a £ ice cream.

    Very nice environment, delicious food. Would like to mention that we had to wait a long time until the food arrived, and it was a bit noisy because of other guests at the restaurant. But still recomended

    Very good service and excelent food. This restaurant had one Michelin star, but not at the moment. Despite of this, is totally advisable.
