Award-winning Chef Juan Gomez, who helped República garner best new restaurant nods from Bon Appétit and James Beard, is taking a more personal approach to PNW cuisine. Recently nominated one of the Top 50 Restaurants in the Country by the New York Times, Lilia offers dishes like Pork Collar Confit and fresh Aguachile, leaning on Chef Juan's Mexican-American roots while showcasing hyper-seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. The airy, unpretentious space and breezy patio befit the South Waterfront vibe.

The food was incredibly flavorful and our entire party really enjoyed the meal. We had the chief’s tasting menu. The desserts were phenomenal! Excellent service. It was an expensive meal but with very high quality fresh local ingredients. Atmosphere was clean, modern, and un-pretentious. Wound 100% recommend this restaurant for special occasion meals!

I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with a chef tasting menu for our anniversary. This was the best choice by far. The chefs tasting menu for 2 was intimate and romantic without being pretnetious. It was the perfect amount of food and everything was so delicious. From the service to the food... Everything was perfect. Whenever people ask me where they should go, this will be the first place I suggest. And just to prove how good the service was, as we were already out the door heading to the car, our hostess/waitress called out to us to wish us a happy anniversary and to thank us for dining with them..... She deserves a raise!!

Superb. Can it really be better each time? Yes. Chef Juan and his team move from strength to strength. Nothing out of place and always surprising —yet all within a calm sense of proportion and control. This is such a fine and exciting restaurant.

I am a Chef that has been in the industry for 30+ years and also Mexican American. This family is crushing it! The service was outstanding my only feedback is that it was hard to hear one of the more soft spoken servers, to be fair I do ware hearing aides so take that with a grain of salt. The oysters with tart apple on top was a great combination. All of the food was really well balanced and cooked to perfection. We ate all of the vegetarian dishes because my whole family is vegetarian except me.The chef is super talented and should be very proud of what they doing. The desserts were fantastic as well. An added plus overall is that when you ask about a wine that is by the glass they offer you a taste first, not everyone does this and is greatly appreciated. We will be back for sure!

Carnitas were to die for! We were 2 diners and ordered a la carte, one selection from each section of the menu as was recommended. Portions were generous and delicious. Would love to return.

The food was very good but everything else was just average, not what I would expect for annrlevsted food experience and pricing. Also - the price said $90 per person for the chef menu, but when we arrived the price was $205 for 2, with an extra 21% gratuity. I don’t object to paying living wage and to supporting local business, but I didn’t appreciate the bait & switch fare and the mediocre ambience.

Wow! I highly recommend this restaurant. We were given a gift certificate and had never heard of it before. So glad we were given this gift. It was our first visit, but it definitely won't be the last. We did the chef's tasting menu and we loved each and every course. All the staff we interacted with were amazing! If I could give this place more than five stars I would!
