The hostess who greeted us was warm, friendly. and efficient. It would have been nice if she had decided to NOT chew gum while hostessing. Our server, Julio, was excellent. So was another server, tall and thin, who noticed that my husband had spilled something on his shirt and brought over a cup of club soda to help ease the removal of the stain. The duck confit was delicious as was the hamburger. The hollandaise sauce for the fries was excellent.

My husband and I had New Year's Day brunch here today. I had not dined here for 20 years as I had moved from the neighborhood. I can truthfully say that that quality has not changed since Le Monde opened in 1998. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was festive. Our waiter, Chance, was also top notch. I will be back!

We have always been delighted with our experience dining at Le Monde. Service is lovely, food is delicious, atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Whether for celebrations of special events or holidays or just an ordinary day, brunch, lunch, dinner or a late supper at Le Monde never disappoints.

We love LeMonde, Great food, beautiful restaurant, always excellent service, Appreciated being able to order a la carte on New Year's Eve in addition to option for Prix Fixe.

Le Monde, a long-time resident of Morningside Heights, was full of festivity and rich, French food on Christmas. The pinot noir was top-notch. My guy had escargot, followed by a duck main course, and I had the salmon over spinach with a sauce I can't remember before we shared a chocolate mousse. We're glad we went early, because a lot of time for digestion was required. Our only criticism was that the guitar-player who sang wonderful tunes, mostly in French, was amplified, and we could barely hear each other. Minus the amplification, this would have been a plus, and I'm sure it was only for the holiday. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and we'd do it again.

Le Monde was an Excellent choice for Christmas Dinner. The Ambience , Food & Service were all 5 star Excellent! The Lobster Salad was outstanding. The Venison was delicious & cooked Just right, as ordered. The Chocolate Mousse was rich & delicious ,as always. Our waiter, Meir, provided attentive, excellent service throughout the Meal. If you want excellent French Food in a comfortable neighborhood restaurant, Le Monde is the place to go.
