The service and ambience was excellent. We ordered the WARM goat cheese salad and the goat cheese was cold. The waiter told us there was no way they could keep it warm. When you charge $38 for two salads, it should be warm as advertised. I ordered the braised short ribs and although it was tender, it did not have much flavor. However, the vegetables were cooked to perfection. My wife ordered the French onion soup, which was delicious, but the portions were small.

Do all big group have to sit by the kitchen and flies every time? Service was great but our group always gets the worst table location.

Beautiful tree filled outside patio dining. Handsome inside dining area also. Service was courteous and attentive. My dozen oysters appetizer were medium sized, meaty and delicious. My half duck entree was also excellent.

This was a special birthday celebration. We were a party of 32 of us had the flat iron steak and fries. The steak was burnt and very tough. The fries were smothered and garlic, and very hard to eat. The bottle of wine was nice. A little disappointed, considering that has been our seventh time there in the past three years.

Lavender was as I remembered it. Beautiful outdoor setting - a bit like a secret garden. Food was very good. Service too. We enjoyed a lovely warm California evening. Recommend.
