What is Lavagna? In Italian, it means "blackboard". That's where we put our menu, and specials change with the seasons. Look around too... the walls are also blackboards, decorated with artwork by Mike Delaney of Nyack.

After-work drinks, a date night, or a friend meetup all have their home at Lavagna. Our quiet, intimate setting is perfect for conversation and relaxation.

Pull up a barstool and have a glass of wine from our extensive vault. Our wine cellar is world class with over 125 labels available by the bottle and 25 by the glass. Please ask about our full roster of Italian craft beers that will surprise you with their complexity and depth of flavor.

We will pair your beverage with exquisite dishes, salumeria boards with meats and cheeses or a full caviar tasting for a special occasion. We also offer Roman-style flatbread pizzas and other small plates such as pastas, seafood, and Mediterranean specialties.

Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Not just a meal but an experience; the knowledgeable staff and daily specials are always a delicious culinary adventure. I’ve never had a bad meal here, it’s one of my favorite places in town.

Elena’s birthday at Lavagna of Suffern Galentine’s Day Brunch 💕 was an absolute vibe! The food 🔥 The service, outstanding. And Gino the DJ… mixing old-school & new 💃🎶 The best part? This multi-course culinary masterpiece came with unlimited prosecco, raffles, a sweet goody bag, and a price that felt like a steal. This is next level Italian. The highest quality food beautifully and thoughtfully prepared. Delicious!!!Lloyd and the entire staff are knowledgeable and attentive without hovering or rushing. A wonderful dining experience!

The pizza was lite and delicious. The meatballs, octopus and shrimp were all excellent small plates. We shared a charcuterie board for two (we had a party of four) and there was plenty to sample. Wine list was nice and reasonable.

We really enjoy brunch at Lavagna. It’s a relaxing meal and the service is excellent, the food is delicious, and we like having two courses and bottomless drinks. It’s a great way to get in a Sunday meal with friends and family.
