LATHA, Swahili for flavor, celebrates Africa and the diaspora’s rich and diverse cuisines. The menu curated by Executive Chef Digby Stridiron honors the interconnected journey of the foodways and culture of Africa, Brazil, the Caribbean, and the Southern United States. Our contemporary pan-African kitchen respects historical recipes and crafts cuisine from thoughtfully sourced seasonal ingredients that reveal the connections between Africa and the diaspora. It is a journey of discovery along the trails of our ancestors, telling the authentic stories of the foodways and how they have shaped eating habits and cuisine worldwide. We invite guests to join us on a flavorful journey of discovery and appreciation. LATHA, in downtown Phoenix, in Heritage Square, is a place to have a shared immersive experience with friends or family while enjoying food, drinks, music, and culture in our dining room, bar, or outside patio. Del equipo editorial de OpenTable: LATHA significa "sabor" en swahili y lo cierto es que la apertura de este restaurante en 2023 trajo consigo el sabor de la diáspora africana desde zonas como Brasil, el Caribe y el sur, lo cual llamó la atención de la revista Phoenix y de The Infatuation. El menú incluye platos que van desde el pollo frito y los gofres con ron de plátano hasta la barbacoa de rabo de toro. The place was busy, great vibe, ate dinner in the bar with a friend. The staff was attentive and the food was delish. Loved the watermelon salad, the whipped feta dish and the burger was delicious. Love this place!

I’ve been here several times, but the food and service last night were horrible. 90 minutes after reservation time before we got our first course. Then wine pairing was a complete disaster. Got our 3rd wine with the 4th course. Completely skipped wine for the second and 3rd course. Waitress didnt seem to care about the misunderstanding and just removed the wine paring charge and added per glass for the wine. Quality of the food took the downhill and its disappointing because I loved it there the last two times i was there.

Amazing experience at Latha. Appetizers, entrees, and desserts were all flavorful and well portioned and the hospitality was just wonderful. You can tell they really care. Can’t wait to visit again next time we are in town.

The service was impeccable! We spent $200 for a party of 2 , drinks are a bit overpriced but is downtown phoenix so it was expected. Overall great experience.
