   Food was delicious and fresh. We had a table of 7 in the back and it was easy to talk. Was a great night!

   We love dining at La Violetta. Our waiter Stephon was great-attentive and very personable! We have recommended La Violetta to many friends and plan to go back in the near future.

   What a gem! Tucked away in a spot you’d never expect but once you’re inside it’s transformational. Charming ambiance, but let’s be honest, you’re there for the food! And the drink- great cocktails, Manhattan, Martinis etc. Plus an outstanding Italian vino selection. We had a Super Tuscan our server helped me picked & everyone loved it. Prosciutto (not your average run of the mill) & decadent fresh creamy Mozz app w/pieces of fried bread was off the charts. Short Rib Stuffed Tortellini w baby back ragu was impeccable. Tagliatelle w Waygu ragout-Mamma Mia! Of course pasta is all homemade & a must to try. 3” Osso Buco- fogettaboutit!! I’m going back for that. And while I didn’t have a steak, after seeing their selection of dry aged beauties, I’m gonna go out on a limb, on sight alone & say that they could easily rival any steak in SRQ. The Gelato Affogado drowned in espresso & comp Lemoncello was the cherry on top! We are fortunate to have such a wonderful selection of fine Italian eateries here & La Violetta just might be the best. WE WILL BE BACK - - SOON!! Monte Hinchman - Sarasota, FL

   This is an outstanding restaurant. I have eaten in fine restaurants all over the world. All the pasta is homemade and the menu is terrific!

   We were in town with a friend (who is a local). He suggested this restaurant after hearing good things about it from the locals. We were there on a Tuesday evening, but the place was still hopping. After ordering our food we understood why. Everything was delicious including my wild boar ragu, my friend's ravioli and another friend's tagliatelle. This was all preceeded by a delicious flatbread that was more than shareable. This is a very highly recommended splurge!

   Overall it was an enjoyable evening. Our server Gregorio was very helpful and the food was excellent. However, the menu was pricey and it was difficult to hear when we left at seven.

   Had a lovely dinner here. Ordered off the specials menu and everything was great - especially the ravioli with plums and prosciutto. The dessert was delicious and I had two wines, a white and a dessert that were perfect. Service was attentive and subtle. Highly recommend - can’t wait to be back!

   It was the most delicious Italian food I’ve ever had and I’ve been to Italy many times. Felt like I was in Italy. It was authentic and can’t wait to go back to the friendly warm joyful ambience. Everything is home made. Drinks divine. Chef is magic!

    The food has always been authentic Italian. Explanation about the region of Italy the recipes are from is appreciated. The wait staff is definitely Italian and very friendly and helpful.
