Love La Serre! Valet guys are great. Hosts are welcoming. Excellent food and service every time. whether in dining room or at the bar. George at the bar is awesome. Craft cocktails are pretty and tasty. I appreciate the complimentary hot bread that you often can’t get anymore. The tuna Crudo is the best I’ve ever had in my life. Highly recommend! I would love to eat that every day and I would love to know the sauce that it is swimming in because it is absolutely incredible!!! The escargot is good, nice garlicky sauce and I appreciate they give you bread for dipping. Love the apple kale salad with feta cheese. Generous portion, tastes Perfect! I’ve enjoyed many entrées at previous visits which were all fantastic, as well. The pasta with lemony clam sauce is delicious. (Wanna try the bacon pasta next time). Can’t go wrong with pretty much anything there. Re desserts: LOVE the bruleed French toast.and the bread pudding - both with gelato. A cappuccino to end the night. ALL fantastic! ! Only thing I’d change: for tables of 2, one has to look at the booth wall. Maybe consider repositioning tables (and yes I know many Restos have same problem) or angle mirror above booth side so regardless of seat, all diners can see the beautiful lively room.

Lovely ambiance and wonderful food and drinks. Took over 45 min to get our food and it was cold and waiter was not inviting. Would expect better from chicago restaurants. Will be back but hoping for better service!

Highly overpriced for mediocre food, too many tables that bump into each other as do waiters as there are too many tables for the space, contributing to excessively loud and annoying atmosphere. Quite the “scene” with people who think they look hip and cool but probably should consult a mirror. Staff was fine, a little brusk, certainly not exceptional. I would definitely not go back. Far superior French food for better prices and atmosphere elsewhere.

Bread was so hard I could chip a tooth. Waiter was nice enough to take off the bread service and French onion off the bill. Service was good. Rest of food was good. Cocktails were good. At this price point I expect no mistakes. Esp if the restaurant charges 3 percent fee

Came to celebrate my birthday but we were seated at 8:20 even tho I made a reservation for 7:45. Yes we were given free champagne and dessert but it didn’t take away from the fact that we sat there for over 30 minutes. Manager was nice she said that the table we need won’t leave but for a place like this they should have more tables that can accommodate 7. Food was okay but we started off on a bad vibe with the wait. Our server was amazing.

Wonderful, unique experience. Stunning setting and excellent service. Fantastic food. I’ve been to Provence, Cassis etc…and the fish, in particular, was reminiscent of that experience. The Mille feuilles was outstanding.

Waited 30 minutes for our table although we had booked. The table was in a corner. Music was nice. Food tasted good but the portions are EXTREMELY small so it was not worth the money at all. Waitress was very friendly and nice. Portions should be bigger and it was not nice to make us wait while the tables were actually empty and we could be seated
