    Superior in all ways. Food was excellent, service precise and attentive, server herself friendly and helpful. We had appetizers, wine, mains, dessert and coffee. Each was spot on, but I’ll single out my shrimp ceviche as the star of my night. As good as I’ve had. Shrimp fresh and just the right size (6 maybe 25/30 sized), tender, sitting on a bed of mixed fresh greens with fennel slices, in perfectly seasoned lime juice. Scallops excellent with an orange/fennel purée that was unique and flavorful. Desserts were particularly good: lava cake, Iles flotant, coconut sorbet, crème brulet all very well done. And great coffee. And a wicked nice vibe to the place. And kudos to our exceptional waitress, Ana. Wish I lived in DC so I could go there often.

    This is one of the very few places in the DMV that’s closest to authentic French unpretentious yet lovely food. Service is attentive and warm.

    It was chilly inside. Had to wear a scarf. The halibut was over cooked. In general an underwhelming experience, but a hefty price tag. The servers were friendly though.

    We recently dined at La Piquette and had a great experience. Our party of four was celebrating an anniversary and a birthday, and the afternoon couldn't have been more perfect. From the moment we walked in, the cozy, intimate setting created the ideal atmosphere for our special celebrations. We skipped the appetizers and ordered our entrees, which included Prime Beef Steak and Frites, Lobster Risotto, Halibut, and Sautéed Fresh NC Shrimp. Each dish was a perfect blend of flavors and textures, beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. It was evident that the chefs put a lot of passion and creativity into their culinary creations. The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, ensuring every detail of our dining experience was right. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable, adding a personal touch to our celebrations. And don’t overlook their desserts! They were the perfect ending to a perfect meal. The sweet treats were as delightful and creative as the main courses, leaving us thoroughly impressed and satisfied. Overall, La Piquette exceeded our expectations in every way. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience. The only thing that would make me hesitant to return again would be the 2+ hour ride up I95. No, on second thought, not even that would keep us from being repeat customers.

    Valentine's dinner was nice but tables are far too close together -- no privacy at all for couples on a special night. Food was generally quite good but desserts were a weakpoint -- especially the chocolate mouse which was not light and fluffy as a mousse should be. Adding a rose for the women at the conclusion of the meal was a nice touch though.

    We have been to this restaurant many times, but today was the Valentine’s Day Prix Fixe dinner. A beautiful, charming experience with delicious French cuisine. Our servers were very attentive, and we were greeted warmly. Upon our arrival. We definitely look forward to making this in annual tradition.
