La Cambusa is a full-service, BYO restaurant specializing in authentic Southern Italian cuisine. We offer an upscale yet casual dining experience with exceptional service. Our menu features a variety of dishes inspired by Italy’s Amalfi Coast, including fresh seafood, handmade pasta, various meats and poultry, and classic Italian desserts, all made in-house. With previous locations in Fair Lawn, Ridgewood, and Garfield, and a reputation for serving top-quality Italian food for over 25 years, we are proud to extend our hospitality to Wyckoff and the surrounding areas. We serve dinner from Wednesday through Sunday. While walk-ins are welcome, we recommend making reservations.

Great service and welcoming staff. Salads just OK. Ordered Chicken Rolatini, which was nicely prepared and came with a pasta. The sauce was good but a little heavy. Overall recommended.

La Cambusa was fairly disappointing. The food is very mediocre compared to the price. They give you a tiny bruschetta appetizer when you sit down, but we felt overall the food lacked flavor, depth, creativity. We ordered three different pasta/seafood dishes, and with the exception of the shrimp francese, which was a decent portion, the other two had barely any seafood. They were served with no salad, no side dish, nothing to justify the almost $40 a plate price. We also had 1 chicken entrée which was fair at best but at least came with some potatoes . In addition, the restaurant is noisy, and we mentioned that it was a birthday when we made the reservation, but they did nothing to acknowledge that. To be fair, we did not order dessert as we just wanted to leave because of the noise. However, it would’ve been nice if the manager came over and at least wished our guest happy birthday or did something else special. Capital Grill for example is great at this – with special confetti, personalized menus or a card on the table and always free dessert. There is also no easy parking on a weekend. There are much better choices for the money.

Penne vodka tasted like Mac and cheese. My husband got the veal special and the sauce was flavorless. Table of 8 next to use was super loud and obnoxious. Only great thing was server and his kind personality.

Everything was amazing as usual!! We have been going there for years. We were customers at the previous location too. It’s hard yo find great Italian food
