For private functions or parties of up to 12 people, the traditional Tatami room is ideal for an unforgettable evening. Please note, there is no minimum guests for hiring this room, but there is a $600 minimum charge. Guests are required to choose from either a $69 or $89 set menu. Sit around a rectangular table, where all your family & friends can all see and interact with each other while they indulge in our Taste of KUMO special banquet menu that boasts the best and most popular dishes. Delicious food and cocktails, friendly staff and great service. We had the Signature set menu, will try other dishes from their a la carte menu next time.

One of, if not, the best Japanese restaurant in Melbourne I've been to. Food was sublime. Staff was attentive and super polite. Pricing was very fair. Menu was outstanding. Our party of four had all different dishes and all were amazing. Brilliant dining experience.

Seating - It appears that the owners have added additional chairs to the communal table resulting in a tight and very uncomfortable seating arrangement. Food - Ordered a $69 set menu which previously was delicious however this time fairly average. The matcha panna cotta had an overpowering matcha flavour - very disappointing. The exterior of the beef was extremely dry, overcooked. Ambiance - It was very rushed and felt like the service staff wanted us to finish our meal and leave as quickly as possible. Overall experience was very poor.

Really good food, but busy since it was Valentine’s Day, so it was noisy and crowded. Service was OK, but was a little rushed. Will definitely return at a quieter time
