I probably won't go back again. They failed on so many levels, but Jennifer, Arami, and Dwayne were awesome. Food was just OK. We went to celebrate a birthday but the celebration part never got off the ground. The celebration part was never brought out so that left me flat. My waitress was almost nonexistent, but the hostess with the most mostest Jennifer stepped right in with a complimentary drink and snapped our pictures.

Ordered the fries chicken and the meat inside was bloody and raw. The manager did take the chicken off of my bill and had the kitchen remake it for me.

Our waitress Fatima was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Very helpful with making our choice off the menu. My favorite was the jerk lamb surf and turf

To start the review off, I have to share that I received a call (missed the call) and then a text message about 90 minutes before the reservation notifying me that our reservation would have to be moved from 12:30pm to 2:00pm. Then I received another call explaining that when employees arrived, there was no electricity in the building. The gentlemen stated that the 2:00pm appointment was tentative pending the power getting fixed. I then received another call about 30 minutes before the reservation notifying me that they were back open and ready to serve us. Instead of being frustrated and immediately seeking out alternative options, I chose to move forward with our plans to visit Kitchen + Kocktails out of appreciation for their efforts to communicate the situation and keep me updated. I'm glad I did because the food was GREAT. I enjoy vibe dining with good energy and music especially when the volume of the music is at a level that still allows you to have a conversation without yelling. The drinks were on point and our waitress was a joy to have. She walked me through the menu and drinks options, shared her fav recommended meal, and gave us more than enough time patiently for us to figure out our choices. I’ll just say this…the was GREAT! Came out hot and fresh, condiments were brought out before the food, and the drinks stayed topped off. May be a bit pricey for some, but that doesn’t shock me in Chicago. Reviews are good to see before visiting a restaurant but I suggest you check them out and build your own opinion of Kitchen + Kocktails 🙏🏽

Waited 20 minutes for our table even though we had a reservation. Sat at the bar. Very nice bar tender when we finally were waited on. Got our table even though very nice waiter. Room was exceptionally cold and a little dirty. Ordered an appetizer and 2 entrees. Good took forever and we had play tickets so we canceled the food but then the appetizer came and soon after one entree came. We ate and but the we couldn’t wait for the other entree. They did cancel it and we left and barely made the play.

The vibe and the culture was excellent but this was my 2nd time at K&K and I must say it’s TO OVER PRICED for simple soul food. They have someone come around and take your photo and never tell you that there’s charge for that nice photo Lol. Again a nice vibe but $210 ticket for fried chicken, catfish, and shrimp & grits? 😳

Service once sat was pretty slow but the food and drinks made up for it. Would have been a 5/5 but it took 15 minutes to even get water to our table.
